Didn't say there were no rich people in Jackson. I said BR is doing better economically than Jackson and they are. Clinton, Madison etc are all doing well. I am mainly talking inside the city limits. You can see where BR is growing. Not counting the burbs. Jobs are actually in East Baton Rouge Parrish vs what is in Jackson/Hinds County. You got Fondren getting developed and the area by the Meadowbrook exit with the new planned multi use center. The Medical Center will always do well. But every city has Doctors and Nurses making that paper. LOL. I am sure the BR Doctors, Lawyers, Nurses are doing well. Hell with SU and LSU having Law Schools in BR, damn near everyone has a Law degree. LOL. We all know the hometown should be doing better. When I first went to SU. BR and Jackson were about equal level population wise. Them mofos have exploded. A lot do to Katrina but they were growing before hand. The white folks at home don't want to see Jackson do well. Where as BR has LSU sitting in the city limits and you know damn well they don't want to see BR fail with their beloved LSU being in the city.

You do realize that SU stayed on the JSU side of field for damn near the entire 2nd Qtr. It should have worse. Big Worm got conservative and punted twice on 4th and short in JSU territory. Not to mention the extra points and FG we missed.

Much like there are a lot of high paying jobs in Memphis (almost 4 times the size of Jackson) but like Jackson, a lot of "them" are living in Desoto County spending their dollars there.

Same with Tallahassee (in a similar situation as BR). If Florida State weren't in Tally Ho along with FAMU, they would be getting treated like Jackson. That's the reason why the dome issue is being dragged out. That's the reason why the Farish Street project hasn't taken off yet. Folks don't want to see Jackson doing well (but let Jackson get an Ole Miss alum as mayor.. I guarantee you would see a difference)

people take over any city in population and watch the white flight.
Then watch they build houses and stores, because although they have to stomach
coming into your black city for work, until the job moves they can't help that, BUT

Correction. Odums is 3-1 against JSU. Hell he has won both times he come to Jackson as Head Coach. He really should be 4-0.
