The Lebron No Show In Memphis stings fans

Deeeeep In The Delta.....
It's not about Lebron showing up to satisfy/help the Grizzlies. It's about Lebron showing up for HIS fans in the TEN-AR-MISS area.

I know it's a "buyer beware" thing with NBA road games but I'd be disappointed as hell if I took my whole check to pay for tickets to take a young relative to Memphis to see Lebron and he no shows

Calkins: LeBron's no-show stings fans

Becky Morris is a hair stylist. Her husband, Justin, sells video security systems. They do not have a lot of money. They have to be careful with what they spend.

But their son, Canon, had an 18th birthday coming up. And Canon Morris loves LeBron James.

“He absolutely adores LeBron,” said Justin. “It has taken some time for him to prefer the Grizzlies to LeBron. He does now, but he still absolutely loves LeBron. So for his 18th birthday, we decided we were going all out.”

They bought tickets to the Grizzlies-Cavaliers game. Not just any tickets, tickets in the lower bowl. And not just any tickets in the lower bowl, tickets — just two tickets — that cost a total of $600.

About 3-4 years ago, I went to watch a sorry azz wizards team play Miami and Miami sat him, Bosh and Wade... I was so pissed.

There is really nothing the league can do to curb these occurrences, and it's unfortunate that those fans in Memphis missed the opportunity to see LeBron and Co., but teams are going to do what's best for them.

It's similar to a baseball manager sitting some of his best players at the end of a three or four game series that the fans miss out on seeing.

I just hate seeing the team rest these guys on these roads games. Why not do it more at home. And this was their only trip to M-town and nothing for the fans. I understand them doing it but do it at home.

No, never disappoint the home fans. No team is going to hurt their own profits. The best thing the NBA can do to reduce this is stop having teams play so many back to backs in different cities. They are looking at shortening the preseason and starting the regular season earlier to cut down on the back to backs and 4 games in five night stretches. That's the smart thing to do.

Lebron and other stars should be mindful of their fans, but the league has a responsibility as well. This was their only game in Memphis this season. Why is that game the 2nd of a back to back. Make it the first game or make sure that western conference foes are not included in those back to back making it more likely he'll sit out a game in atl instead of memphis.

Then folks would complain about LeBron not playing in Atlanta.

Really can't win either way.

difference is the cavs will play 3 or more games in atl this season since they are in the same division. miss him this time, catch him next time.

What about the people who can't catch him next time? There are always going to be disappointed fans, which is why these cats can't win.
