The Laker without Shaq....

j4l, the Lakers beat Denver because they were hyped up for their home opener.

northern tiger, if you have Comcast it should be free for the week. Go to the sports section of the main menu, and look for the NBA League Pass channels, and you should have it.

At least that's the case with Comcast here in MD (Metro DC).

NICE

Utah took Kobe and his merry cast of characters apart last night; Lakers are like a team of swingmen and shooting guards. Lakers have no defense or interior presense. Kobe may lead the league in scoring, which is what he wanted to do all along (selfish ba$#ard), but he and his team will languish behind the Spurs, Mavs, and T-Wolves in the west. Hey, Kobe is good for one thing...ESPN's highlight reels.

What a difference a day makes. Laker fan co-signgin Get Ready after game 1. Now that the Utah Jazz done smoked that azz, you got concerns. Miss Shaq??? Did you see what the Heat did at New Jersey??? But hey, Kobe got his 38, that's all that really matters, right??? :mrt:

Hold on now Robber. I didn't say a word after the Lakers won their first game. As a matter of fact, I've always said that the Lakers made a stupid move when they traded Shaq to keep Kobe.
Guards come a dime a dozen. But a person like Shaq comes along every other decade or so. Why build a team around Kobe when you saw how Kobe was shut down in the Finals against the Pistons?
I'd build my team around the most dominant player in the game (Shaq). Nobody is going to stop Shaq. The only thing that can slow him down is injury.

That's why I said Laker fan, instead of Antroy. Anyway, GR gone be mad that you think that y'all shoulda been building around Shaq instead of Kobe. But Kobe did get his 38 the other night, didn't he???

Kobe gonna have to get 38 every night.

Bottom teams, we gonna beat. The top teams, WE GONNA GET BEAT.
:smh:

1. Spurs
2. Timberwolves
3. Kings
4. Rockets
5. Mavericks
6. Jazz
7. Denver

8. Lakers/Sun (and the Lakers will lose the tiebreaker.)

Kobe's gonna get to watch Shaq do some damage in the east come springtime!!!

Los Angeles 87
Memphis 110

I guess ol' GR is still in love with Kobe and all of his 20 points he scored tonight on 4-for-19 shooting. :(

I agree 100%. That was one of the dumbest trades in the history of sports. Shaq is the man, Kobe didn't know his role. He wanted his own team, he got it, now let's see them all watching Shaq tearing it up in the playoffs while they sit at home and watch it all on tv.

Shaq wasnt sith but a Big lazy injury prone spoiled distraction. If GR was the Lakers GM, GR woulda traded his ass the year he decided to get his toe operated on a week before the season was to start when he knew he needed the surgery in June.

Any team is much better off in the long run without a cancer like Shaq. Long after The Big Distraction is gone, Kobe will still be ruling the court.

I am glad that you are not a doctor because your malpractice insurance would be astronomical. If anyone is cancer it is the young narrow mind shot happy Kobe Bryant. I could understand your loyalty relating to jsu but your above statements are just unadulterated asininity. The trading of Shaquille O'Neal will go down in NBA history as one of the biggest "faux pas" in NBA history. The trade of Shaq makes L.A. a middle of the pack pretender as opposed to an upper echelon contendor. Until that boy get his mind right and look at the game from a team perspective, he will continue to have great disappointments.

The Lakers without Shaq are in the playoffs under the leadership of Kobe. The Magic on the other hand have a losing record versus western conference teams and are getting murdered when they face the west. By their record, they would not make the playoffs if they were in the west. Does this not prove who was carrying whom for the Lakers. GR guesses that ends all this non sense about Wade being on Kobes level too.

You are are going to learn to believe me one day. GR knows he is not white, but he is right.

The Shaquille O'Neal Heat is the #1 seed in the east
The also ran Kobe Lakers are a lower tier west 6 seed playoff team.

His point was that the Heat are 8-9 against the West.

I was wondering why he mentioned The Magic. I certainly did not get his point.

The Lakers are 7-9 on the road and the Heat is 14-7. One can do all kind of things with stats to try and substiate an argument. I would prefer Shaq on my team before Kobe any day of the week.

like I said last week, the lakers are a better team without kobe.

for their sake, he needs to be out injured as long as possible.

:scared::scared:

Boy, that's no lie. The Lakers have winning records versus its opponents in both the Eastern (7-4) and Western Conferences (14-12). Miami, on the other hand has a 21-2 record versus the East and an 8-9 record versus the West. They are having a cakewalk through their conference and considering the fact that Washington and Orlando are 22-15 and 21-16 respectively while the Celtics and 76ers lead the Atlantic Division with 18-20 records what else should we expect from them in the East? That's waaaay too easy. Honestly, I didnt realize how bad the Eastern Conference was until I looked at the standings.

Ah B-Ball fans.

As of today, the Lakers are in 8th place in the west.
1 game ahead of tha Timberwolves and 2 games ahead of the Clippers.

Yeah right ...............they are a better, :xeye: , team without THE SHAQ.

Wrong. As of today, the Lakers are in 6th place, 3 1/2 games behind 5th place Dallas. Now . . .

Based on their record of 8-9 versus the West, where would Miami be if they competed in the Western Conference? I'll tell ya . . . They'd be right there with the LA Clippers in the #10 spot.

Dummy!!

Excuse my mistake. The smart people know I meant the Heat.

Like GR has been trying to tell yall, Kobe carried Shaq in the west. Anybody with half a team could absolutely run the east so dont give me that crap about what the Heat is doing against the East. The Piston/Pacer fight also worked out just right for the Heat.

Now again, lets look at the facts. The Heat (one more time) are getting drug by west teams. The dont even compete with the really good teams from the west. Hell even the Clippers got in that ass the other day. Yall know why??? Well let me break it down to you since the white folks aint told you this yet.

The west geared up to stop Shaq by getting some big boy to waste fouls him. But you have to pick your poison....either stop Shaq or Kobe. Well since they chose to stop Shaq, Kobe was the man when the Lakers played tough west con teams. Kobe is the man that got the Lakers over in all those tough playoff series against the Kings and the Spurs. Now that Shaq is in the east, those players are still in the western conference, but Shaq doesnt have Kobe to win games for him anymore. He has to depend on D Wade...GR knows D Wade and D Wade aint no Kobe Bryant....hence the heat have a losing record against the west with some embarrassing losses facing the Sonics and the Suns....Shaqs big foot ass still wont come out of the paint on the pick and roll. (GR knows that Gary Payton wants to kick Shaqs ass)

Now the east has to catch up to Shaq. Sooner or later you will see all them big white boys coming to East coast teams to counter Shaq. Then the Heat and Shaq will be exposed since he wont have Kobe to help him.

Facts are facts....If the Heat were in the west they would be a 12th place team. The Lakers on the other hand are in the playoffs in the west without the Big Gallute.

hey mh

How is that MVP trophy working for Kevin "Heartless" Garnett?

You state "facts are facts, and the very next word you post is "if" :smh:

well if my aunts had nuts, she'd be my uncle (yeah, you get the thanks for that one)

btw, the lakers are a better team without kobe. More movement on offense, better chemistry, and more competitive. Face it, ball hog kobe is a cancer to that team.

ummm, when have you even seen me mention anything about Garnett?

Please quit comparing the Laker's with Miami.

I like the Laker's BUT I would not bet on this COLLEGE TEAM against the New Orleans Hornets.

Kolby Ballhogged the entire game against Miami.

Since you are translating your gibberish today, what did you "meant" when stating Dumbbell is the best coach in the SWAC?
