The Godfather of Harlem

Okay,....Tupac's mom, Afeni Shakur, and the Black Panther Party make the story line.

Bumpy's daughter has quite the life in this show. A journey as a gangster's daughter, drug addict, NOI member and now a revolutionary. She look good in her black with a fro.

It seems more and more that they are mixing fact and fiction. I don't have a problem with it as it makes me want to dig deeper with how close or far off things are from things that really happened. I think they are doing a very good job of keeping the essence of it all.

I say all of the above with regards to Frank Lucas. In recent years after his death, so many peeps have dispelled his street legacy, including his relationship and interactions with Bumpy Johnson. From documentaries that I've watched, they say that Frank worked for Bumpy, but they were not as tight as Frank himself made it seem. There could be truth but then and again, Frank Lucas made some serious enemies that hated him in his last days and would piss on his grave if given the opportunity. If he was indeed like the way his character is being portrayed (excellent acting from so many including the actor that portrays him), I can definitely understand why.

I am LOL because so many times with favorable series, there is such a long period between the seasons that I forget what has happened. After watching the latest episode and making my previous post, I went back, reread this whole thread to make sure I was up to speed. My apologies as most of us including myself have talked about all of the above.
