The former Arizona Coyotes will go the Washington Football Team route in Utah


Why not keep Coyotes, they kept Jazz for the basketball team when they left New Orleans.

Just go back to Jets which who they were before they left Winnipeg, Canada

There is precedence of this as the Atlanta Thrashers became the Jets when they moved to Winnipeg. Sounds a lot like how the Browns name and colors stayed in Cleveland when the original Browns moved to Baltimore. And like how the Sonics name, colors and records stayed in Seattle for the expansion team once the NBA decides to add Seattle and Vegas.

The new owners do not have the rights to that name. The NHL will give Arizona a new team if they can get a new arena that can support hockey in 5 years.

Winnipeg has a new team using the Jets name.
