Are you ready for some football? Despite the nation being in the midst of a pandemic, HBCU sports fans have been waiting to tailgate and watch the bands walk to the stadium, and in most places, that will not happen. Football finally kicks off this weekend! While all of the hype among HBCU football fans has revolved around Jackson State football since September 21, 2020 and their opening game with Edward Waters since the game was announced last Fall, the first HBCU to hit the gridiron this Spring will be Lincoln. Before I continue any further with this article, I must inform you that I am speaking of the Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO, founded in 1866 and not the Lincoln University in Oxford, Pennsylvania, founded in 1854.

The Other Lincoln will be the 1st HBCU to Play Spring 2021 Football

While the Jackson State vs. Edward Water game on February 21 has been thought by most to be the beginning of the 2021 HBCU football season, the Blue Tigers of Lincoln (MO) will actually be the first HBCU to hit the gridiron on Friday, February 19.

It was only 13-0 at the end of the 1st quarter.

Before I turned it off...

In consecutive posessions, Lincoln had 2 shanked punts and a muffed kickoff which they scored TDs on all 3 possessions. I got better things to watch on Friday night lol

Lincoln has a nice running back though who rushed for over 1,300 yards as a freshman. He had a couple of nice runs but their QB is poo so Nicholls keyed in on him

They were way over-matched......They could have had Drew Breeze back there and it wouldn't have made a difference.......LOL

We saw part of that roster up close and personal like, year before last.

We were dubbed Prairie Karr and Edna View but we dubbed them Warren Nicholls and Edna Nicholls too lol. They tapped almost identically what we pulled in the La.

Would've loved for a PV rematch w/ them. Panther's foot.... colonels ass.
