Thank you Lord





My Uncle and cousin called (they are Hurricane Katrina Evacuees). They are no longer missing. They left a message on my phone saying they were alright. We found they are stranded in MS.

I thank GOD for keeping me safe during the Hurricane. I was anticipating leaving Houston on Wednesday to go to my home town (New Iberia). I had not packed anything, so as I was leaving work I saw how bad the traffic was, so I thought about leaving around 2:00 a.m Thurs. morning.
Looking at the news, again , I saw how bad the traffic was, and I did not feel like being stuck in the car for extra hours, especially with young children; therefore we stayed in Houston.

I know God had plans for me being here, because the storm hit my home town. My parents are still without electricity,(won't be on until oct 7th), the light company there is under water. Some water got into my parents home, but they are okay.

Again I thank God for directing my path, and keeping my family safe.
 
Thank you for safety, no storm damage, my grandma's health, friends like Fortitude, shelter, food, and clothing and the fact that I did not face much traffic when exiting the city last Wednesday. I am grateful for knowing someone in a high place who was able to secure us shelter from the storm in Jackson MS. God is good!
 



Thank you for the opportunities that you have given me, Lord!

Thank you for opening doors that may have been closed.

Thank you for blessing me with my wife, my children, friends and family that have continuosly been an assistance in your needs and mine.
