Thank You God...My Tribute to September 11th

God thank you today.

I woke up this morning and thought, I was supposed to be dead 5 years ago. For some reason you knew what was going to happen and blessed me to be placed in Arkansas. Each day I drive past the Pentagon, I remember our annual Action Officer Meetings. I look at the 5th window to the center of contact on the 4th level; of how I used to watch the helicopter land. Those 23 people who died that day are people that I will never forgot because God there was supposed to be a 24th, me.

Most people wonder why I joke, play, laugh, and act silly so much is because of the thoughts of what could have happened. How my life could have been. Yet, God you knew...as you always do. Honestly God, each time this day comes I carry a sense of guilt because I ask why me? What makes me the person you chose. Yet, it boils down to God knowing best.

You knew what you were doing because you knew my father was going to die later that year in November. Thanks God for not taking me because you knew my mother and sister could not deal with the stress of losing two family members in the same year.

God you knew...you knew.

You are right bruh; HE KNOWS and HE KNOWS BEST!

Keep on being yourself dude and Prayers up to you on this day.

Stay up....prayed up that is.

Just like every anniversary of 9/11 I have not gone to CNN...etc...I just think sometimes people tend to not focus on what could have been....

Yes, God is all-knowing. I vividly remember this day 5 yrs ago also. I looked out of my gov't office window right across from the crash at the Pentagon. I saw the traffic backed up on I-395. I saw the people running and hurdling the guard rails on I-395. I saw the smoke billowing out of the hole where the plane hit. It was like a dream, but it was real and I was watching it all. I told my employees to leave immediately after I called the director and told him what I was going to do. My prayer group used to meet every morning @ 10:00 am for prayer, exhortation, praise and worship during our break. I was tempted to go across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to head home, but we stayed true to what we were called to do and still had prayer. I finally left @ 11:00 am. GRIDLOCK !!!!!!!!!!!! It took me till 3:00 pm to get home. At that time I lived only 14 miles away from the job. I was exhausted emotionally and physcially.

DSN I remember this day too !!!
