Texas Southern?s Surina Dixon Released as Women Basketball Head Coach

Houston ? Texas Southern Athletics Director Charles McClelland announced today that Surina Dixon has been released as Head Coach of the Women?s Basketball Program.

?Based upon the inability to agree upon a contract, we have decided to move in a different direction,? says McClelland.

Coach Dixon came to Texas Southern in March to replace former head coach Claude Cummings.

A national search for a new women basketball head coach will begin immediately.

Aint no dam national search going on, ya'll be trying to get Cynthia Cooper since Charles was hired and found some kind of way to get rid on Ms Dixon.

How long will it take to hire Cooper? The HR staff at Texas Southern going to call it an early weekend with 4th of July around the corner?

She had a contract in place I'm sure so I don't know how y'all got her to give up her position @ HC. Amazing the extent(s) sTu is going to get Cooper. lol If she doesn't want to be @ PV, she needs to leave. :) No hard feelings. She's done well @ PV and hopefully we can continue our path. :read:

C-LeB28, disrespectully intended, many university administrators can't read and certainly lack comprehensive skills required to gain understanding. :retard: It's like the blind leading the blind @ times from what I've pieced together.

I'm thankful I've greatly distanced myself from that part of the educational sector. I see why a # of private sector(s) distance themselves from educational systems, at times. :read:

The Chuck'ster is at work once again......NIce having you for the three years Coop.. You promised us 3 to 4 years and you held true to your words...However don't burn any bridges with PV because you just might not get your degree this Fall:dizzy::dizzy:

C-leb, this was known before Chucky left PV that he didn't want Dixon (He stated it on several occasions) but Cole tried to get her in before Charle got there.....This is the first of many disagreements beween Cole and Chucky...I know Cole is pi$$ed that his girlfriend:ebrow: is gone...

All bullsh*t aside, real talk, how in the HELL did CMac get Dixon removed? sTu has some really deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep pockets if they offered a buyout or moved her to another position to make room for Coop. :confused:

These are coaches some of us PVers thought CMac would go after:
Robertson
Cooper
VB coach (geez, forgot her name lol)

Mainly those. The most shocking was Eddie (eqpt mgr). Y'all crossed the line w/ that hire! :slap: lol :swink:
 
This is starting to get funny now... How a whole damn athletic department move from one school to a rival school? LOL

PV folks try to laugh it off, but I would be pissed off.

Good point...TSU is still learning about the World Wide Web. Perhaps soon enough, when they complete their education, they'll also learn how to properly utilize it for the first time in school history...

HILL, PV doesn't "own" anyone. They're free to enter/leave as they please. No strings attached. It's up to PV to get the most out of people while they are employed there.

If the whole athletic dept @ PV was revamped, there's really nothing we alums can do but suck it up and try to help formulate a plan so we can move ahead.

stu and CMac aren't doing anything but what they're supposed to. Look out for self. :read:
