Texas Southern vs Prairie View A&M: Game Updates - 5:00pm CT

It kinda sucks that TxSU's QB got hurt. Cause now they have an excuse for the loss. But I guess all that matters in the end is "Who Won The Game"...not "Who Would Have Won The Game If..."

But good game nonetheless TxSU. Hope you give the rest of the SWAC hell!

It's not an excuse but a reality.

This game should not have been this closes given the expectancies of Prairie View. If anything this game showed the weaknesses of Prairie View.

The reality is injuries are a part of the game. They had the game in the grasp and they blew it. But if people want to blame it all squarely on the loss of their QB, that's fine.

As for PV's expectations, I just expected us to get the W...and we did. As far as our "weaknesses" go, hopefully we will have those addressed by the next SWAC game. As for TxSU's "weakness" at QB, I hope they give the rest of the SWAC hell anyway...lol

That is absolutely not a reality. It's an ASSumption............

And as for showing a weakness..........all this game showed is how difficult it is to open the season with a divisional opponent that has all your film to prepare for you all offseason, and you have no film on them due to the fact that its an all new staff. It showed how well our coaches were able to make in-game adjustments once they had an idea of what sTu's game plan was.

With all the hoopla surrounding this game, we are fortunate to get out of there with the W. Now on the the next conference foe.

I don't blame this loss on QB1 getting hurt. Injuries can happen to anyone. PV's QB took a big hit in the very 1st series of the game and it looked like the was really hurt, but he came back in the next series. I blame this loss on the Coaching staff. I think the staff is doing a fine job with what time they have had and what they have to work with. That being said, the center was snapping the ball over QB2's head from the time he came into the game. QB2 and the center should have been taking snaps during half time since they knew QB1 was't suiting up for the second half. They should have at least been taking snaps on the sideline while the defense was on the field. QB2 could 't just focus on what pv's defense was doing. He had to focus on what the center was doing with the damn ball then try to make a play. If QB2 didn't some hops a couple of those snaps would have gone right over his head. The snap from center to QB should be consistent. QB's really shouldn't have to think about where the C is going to snap the ball to. The coaching staff should have noticed this and had the C & QB2 working the kinks out of the snap.

When QB2 was able to get comfortable and established a rythm one could see the offense come back to life. I just wish we could have avoided the first 3 series of the second half. As noted TSU dominated the stat sheets. The first 5 - 6 minutes of the 3rd Quarter cost TSU this game. That falls on the coaches for not having QB2 prepared coming out of the half. They should have had him practicing with the C and throwing some passes even if he had to go the the parking lot to do it.

Spoken like a true Aggie!! I really doubt without a change to a cold QB that TSU would have had to those ugly center to QB issues that gifted pv 16 quick points at the start of the 3rd. The world will never know what would have happened because time has passed but the probability I assert would be quite minimal.

First week, sTu.
Current week, aTm. This game is over. I wanna' talk about aTm's LBer that plays qb & their thoroughbred skill position players.
