Congrats TXSU. Enjoyable game. I'm glad I stayed to watch it. The Tigers looked like a completely different team from last year. Much improvement.

Pull out my tail...Way To Not Give The Game Completely A Way...We would have killed them if we had some semblance of knowledge on how discipline football is played...I mean this shit today was a pick up game at the middle school but with refs...How the hell on that one drive did we allow PV to walk from their 25 (or so) all the way down the field to our 10 (or so) in penalty yardage then throw a pass and score I have never seen such foolishness in all my life...But I did see some key players I am digging!

Agreed. It was about 5 penalties called on one drive especially with unsportsmanlike conduct

There was one called against sTu's coach, I was surprised that he didn't get kicked out the game. From my view and several others it looked like he took a swing at the ref, they had to restrain him.

I bet the Swac office will be looking at the film to see if he did or not.

Yep. I think I posted that on the other page. It was 2 against the same player and than one against Asberry for arguing the 2nd call against the player.

The SWAC needs to investigate that sorry behind officiating crew that called that game. Get competent officiating and that kind of crap wouldn't happen.

Holding going uncalled....PV player kicking an sTu player while he is on the ground not called. Should I go on?

Lol....settle down Herbert, what he is implying is Northern at PV is in his fourth year. He is 2-2 against Texas Southern.

Our QB was hit on at least 2 occasions five yards out of bounds with no call.

PV receiver was holding on the touchdown right after the 5 penalties with no call. The play occurred right in front of the sorry excuse for an official that had made the interference calls.

Holding can be called on every play, apparently the officials onlylooked for it when TSU had the ball.


Ashberry had to protect his players and I think it sent a message to his team. Let me fight with the stripes, you just keep playing hard.
 
All this damned whining because sTu kicked PV's butt....if not for all the penalties (warranted or not) the score is not close. And we finished the game with a backup qb who threw a touchdown.

One pass play two receivers were holding the sTu defensive back in front of the official with no call.

Lovelocke is just not as good as some folk think. He over threw wide open receivers early in the game (on 3 occasians) which could have led to touchdowns for PV and Causey (for sTu) played better than a lot of people thought he would/could....including me.

Check the stat sheet. Causey was 14 for 22 for 269 if I am not mistaken.

I didn't see a swing but he came on the field after the ref walked away and had to be restrained. He deserved the penalty. Lovelocke looked like he was out of rhythm. Both TXSU QBs played well.
 
Think Ashberry was pulling away from one of the coaches that was restraining him.

Overheard a person saying that NRG wanted 35,000.00 to remove and repaint the team names in the end zones.

Well this is the last year we have to deal with this non sense.
