Texas Southern This is Shameful

Not sure how you own something that you don't fund.
But arn't y'all constantly requesting funds from the state for upkeep?

My point exactly. You don’t know shit. Don’t even know who operates your own facility to keep it locked up 😂

University of Miami — Hard Rock Stadium

University of South Florida — Raymond James Stadium

University of Nevada Las Vegas — Allegiant Stadium

University of Connecticut — Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field

University of California, Los Angeles — Rose Bowl

Jackson State University is not one of those schools, hasn't been since 2011.

Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium has been the home stadium of the Jackson State Tigers football team since 1970, and owned and operated by Jackson State University since July 1, 2011.

So how many of the schools listed below are in the shape Texas Southern is in....is it true that Texas Southern is searching for a field?

The metric I input was schools that played their home football games a mile or greater from their campus, and do not own the stadium. If any of those schools don't have first right of refusal to game dates they are in the same shape as my TSU.

I'm not sure what you heard, but some home games had to be moved to other venues due to scheduling conflicts with Houston Dynamo FC. They have the first right of refusal for game dates at Shell Energy Stadium.

Yeah JSU owns the Vet

Their problem isn't owning the stadium. It's upkeep and Mississippi refusing to build them a new stadium. It would probably cost over $100 million to modernize the Vet (including repairing the closed section) and the state ain't doing that. But we know UMMC wants that real estate the Vet sits on so JSU can afford to wait it out (my concern is that the stadium is deemed dangerous like Rice-Totten was in 2010 and they are stuck without a stadium until the Vet is totally repaired).

Yea The Vet is a snaggy tooth stadium now.

Honestly I don't have a problem with Texas Southern using the Dynamo's stadium. My concern is what the problem with Texas Southern building stadium? Money...space...etc...

The state and UMMC can wait it out and see when it gets condemned. Jsu don't have the funds to repair it and they will be without a stadium to play in.

The scary part is the current Mississippi Legislature and governor will not care if JSU didn't have a place to play....they are true Trump Disciples....oppose anything that will help people of color.
This is why it's so important to have private donors and alumni give back. I feel like at this point i feel like JSU should have had the ball rolling by now with their success of lately and the foundation prime started.

They don't want to attempt to do it themselves. They want the state to pay for the whole thing and that's not happening. They need to partner with UMMC and the state to get something done.

Are you asking on campus are anywhere near the campus?
Founder, you didn't respond so I'll answer you anyway. You don't understand, but you're not by yourself. Unlike most schools in the SWAC, where football is king, that is not the case at my TSU. A stadium could have been built long ago, but decision makers have to be in place that care about football. A campus master plan exists to build a small capacity stadium on campus, 10,000 seats. A stadium that size could have been built long ago if people were in place that cared about football, sufficient space has been there for that all along. That fact that it hasn't, and the fact that some believe that is adequate is a result of having decision makers that couldn't possibly care less. When and if it will be built remains to be seen.

Off campus with more seating is a better option, in my opinion, but the same problem exists. My TSU needs someone that cares enough about football, cares enough about our athletic programs period and dreams big.
