Dude, LC Cole is the DC. Honestly, LC was not needed on this staff. Have you EVER known one of LC's teams to have a good defense? No. They have always been all about offense and that was becasue of Johnny. It was nice of JC to give LC a job but as long as LC is DC, don't expect a strong defense from them.

What we said was we were going to win some swac games this year. We said no one in the swac was assured a win over sTu like in recent years. What we said is that he is the real deal. Everyone expected sTu to take a few years under JC to become competative. What we said is BullShat!! With Reid we are competative now.

How do you know you are competative now? Seriously? You have played PV and that's it in the conference. You will start finding out tomorrow if you are competative. Then when you play GSU, Gram, AAMU or whomever is on the SWAC schedule. You got to crawl before you walk. I am sure TxSU will win some SWAC games. But don't be shocked if you don't beat the better teams in the conference. Aint like they are sitting their taking you lightly. They are focused as can be for a homecoming and we got some Srs who want to go out on top. They would be the first Sr class under Pete not to play for or win a SWAC title if you they fail this season unless you came in 2004 when we went to the SCG. The 4 year Srs came in Fall 2005. Transfers of course don't count. LOL. Anyway I expect Reid to play well. I also expect our veterans on defense to expose your young players and the fact that their is no years of continuity on either side of the ball. I expect Pete and the team to take advantage of that. Look for the run, run, run and more run to keep Reid off the field. So if your defense can't stop us from chewing up the clock then it is going to be a very long day. Pete aint about to get into a shootout.

As the title of this thread states, it should be an offensive shoot out regardless of who wins.

For the record, if we're talking "SWAC football" now, Prairie View is currently #1 is scoring offense and #1 in rushing offense in the conference. After halftime adjustments were made in the LDC, PV only scored 6 points in the second half as compared to 28 points in the 1st and 2nd. Fraizer tried his damnest to run the clock out on us because he saw us surging on offense and with a defense starting 6 freshmen, we were coming back.

Shaw (defending CIAA champs) scored 22 on us in the first half while only 7 in the second half. Now let's not even discuss Arkansas State and Texas State. :lol: I won't even go into Concordia and Texas College since they are NAIA teams.

Halftime adjustments have been a strong point for us.

Yeah, our young guys got caught up in the lights of the LDC and PV took advantage of that early. This team has changed since then and I am looking forward to suCKS tomorrow so we can see where we really stand. In a year or two this young team is going to be really really good if JC can replace BReid with another strong QB.
