Texas Southern is looking for a new women basketball coach

I’m good with this. It gives us an opportunity to get better. Good luck coach.

Damn. Thought she was entrenched in Houston but that’s what you want as a head coach - someone to move up in life. Good person who cut her teeth in the SWAC and red river and is an HISD grad. Plus we’re 9th cousins as her family is from Port Barre/Opelousas lol

You knew this was coming...

I would take Cooper back at Texas Southern. She has name recognition with high school and AAU coaches. I think she can bring in equal or better talent than other coaches in the SWAC. Cooper may not be the best X and O coach in the SWAC, but her team will play hard and she wins.

Okay all conference schools. Double check your womens coaches buyout clauses. TSU is searching for coaches. I am just trying to help. i don't want yall crying tsu took our coach crap. PV double check your mens golf coach situation. Just trying to help.

Bruh, we aren't like our rich cousins in the city and can afford to pay our coaches 2,000,000$ annually lol. If you all draw them away, the $$$$ drives them and that's where they belong because their allegiance is to $$$ and not the school or a school's history.

Southern's assistant Women's basketball coach would be a good head coach for sTu.

But doesn't this apply to just about every coach? How many coaches really gives a rat's ass about a school or its history? I mean, if the price is right, well anyway.......

I’m fairly certain the diehard legacy folks aren’t driven by capitalistic greed, to a certain extent.

We are better on the bench with this hire. i like prior coach, she was a great example of how young ladies should handle basketball and life. MY issue with her was she could not keep squad together for two or three years. she would lose key players. best of luck to her.
