In his first career start, freshman Jacob Chavan broke the school record by 3 yards surpassing Sean Cook for yards passing in a single game (446 yards) against Texas A&I in 1986. Against Alabama State Chavan threw for a total of 449 yards.

Congrats to Jacob on his huge accomplishment in his first start!!!

Good job for the freshman, I was wondering did Tx SOuthern win? I didn't think so.

No but their offense led by a freshman had 500 yards of offense. Just when you think some defenses can't get any "worser".

I agree TP, Jackoff State did look better last year. At least their DB's weren't getting beat by more than 10 yards. Last it was only five yards.

I would be quiet until JSU gets the sense to fire JW if I were you TP. If Kint throws 2 or more ints in a game JSU will lose. Remember Kint has never beaten Bama State before nor will he ever beat ASU.

I am most certain true freshman Jacob will break his own record again this season. I would like to see us get our ground attack in place now. We have the horses to do this with Joseph, Boutte and Associates.

We are going to kick your arses this year and next. No offense this year would drop 500 yards on JSU especially not one led by a freshman. This is :( .

I said it in another post, and I'm saying it again. THAT YOUNG MAN IS FOR REAL.

Congratulations to him, and to Texas Southern for a great game against the Hornets.

If you guys play everybody, the way you played Bama State, we may meet again . . . . . . in Birmingham.

Good luck the rest of the season.

And I will also say that he is a good QB and knows how to read defenses pretty well. Their team was the most competition that the HORNETS faced this year and probably for the rest of the year.
