There's a good chance Yates will play either Wheatley or Jones in round two of the playoffs in a few weeks.....if it's Wheatley, you already know 5,000 fans minimum will be there...my boy who covers that stuff said TSU is a possibility along with Delmar or Katy

I can see HISD with Delmar but they fall short of capacity...Katy is too dang far and no way two HISD schools should take their money way out unless it's a regional that's been bidded out

H&PE is the most logical choice as parking may be the only issue as I don't know the capcity of the garages...if they can get at least $6K times $5 (minimum) a head that's a nice little pay day and can take care of some "sexy" upgrades :emlaugh:

but why in the past TSU has not rented out H&PE to the high schools for the big playoff game? Last time I remember a high school playoff game was held there in 2001 when Navasota or PA Lincoln played someone there
 



it was the fault of the special events dept at tsu they wanted to much money to have it there. and i would be a great recruiting tool for tsu.

I would love to see TSU host this game, but do not forget last year they played all the way out in Katy on a Friday, with an early evening tip off. From what I heard, it was still standing room only.
 
BTW....how can get KTSU online? The site has been down for six months now....

The best time was when Willowridge was selling out the city.....If I could rent my house for them to play 3 on 3 I might've made some cash :emlaugh: I was at a game once and there were 2,000 folks outside as the arena was too small..folks were offering $100 to let people in the back doors

Don't go out to Katy, come on over to the NW side of town. We got a great arena at The Berry Center.

Ft. Bend wouldn't let Willowridge play in 3rd Ward. They would move it down to Hightower's big gym first
 
in the playoffs, teams try not to play at home unless you flip for it....a winning Willowridge versus a north side team for example would look halfway so it's an even drive for the fanbases

Berry Center too far also for a city crowd, might as well go to Katy

Hold on man...I was the last one who got a playoff game on campus. When I was over SE I had conversations with HISD and NFISD. Majority of the time we lost out on the coin flip between the two school.

Each garage holds 1000 cars . If this is a night or weekend game we have close to 2000 parking spaces within a .25 mile of HPE.

the reason that they have had games in the h&pe is because there was damage to barnett stadium from the hurricane and athletic director charles mcclelland helped out
 
the game should be next tuesday barring an upset but it's at Campbell Center...:rolleyes:

TSU was in the mix but not sure what happened as they did get Strake "We know they recruit" Jesuit against Madison tonight at 6 p.m.

Yep, Tommy Mason Griffin and the Madison Marlins against Strake Saturday night at the Moreland Center.

:topic: Speaking of Texas Southern's AD, when is he going to fire your men's basketball coach? I heard that the head coach suspended two of his assistants. He already ran off your best scorer, Sollie Norwood.

I thought TSU was turning things around in basketball, but I guess I was mistaken.

My bad bruh. You may want to focus on your baseball team. Maybe that'll help a bit. Too bad your basketball coach is godson to the President, which means that he's probably not going anywhere anytime soon.
