TXSU is the biggest team we’ve faced all season! Hornets made defensive adjustments in the second half and capitalized on special teams play. Nice first game for Smoot. He has a bright future.

busted play on 1st ASU series of game for TD
missed FG in 3rd quarter on 4th-and-5 and ASU scored off that
blocked FG in the 4th returned for a TD

there's your game - look at the stats, TSU dominated ASU all over the place but those 4 plays sealed it - 28 points - 40 minutes of possession time and nearly 500 yards of offense - what can you say

We scored no points in the second half...that is why we loss. Going up and down the field eating up time and not getting into the endzone means jack. Stats don't equal wins.
 
The Texas Southern offensive line completely controlled Alabama State, it was not pretty. But, sustaining the drives was a little bit difficult for TSU.

TXSU was held scoreless in the second half!

Some said we should've went for it on 4th down both times in asu territory as we missed both FGs - state didn't do anything different in the 2nd half - they just flew to the ball faster on some plays

Just like water is wet,...it is that obvious. McNair and Shade have reasons to feel optimistic closing out their season.
