Our bad football karma was due to prior negligence from the top down.
Thank God for coach Dooley and his mantra. He's trying to change it for us and we are behind him 105%.
PV saved my life.
If it weren't for PV, I would've attended *vomiting* "txa&m-b/cs," married "good-hair" Becky, lived in a way more excluded suburbia (shut up tbf, I'm still integrating out here w/ these woodforest people lol), hated black folk, and then wrote a damming article on my newly hired coach @ PV because he was captured in a photo w/ a family fellowshipping where all are CV-19 free.
Dang Panthro just when I was laughing at you and calling you crazy, I had a FB friend who posted this story and said she understood because her son (who was my son's AAU team mate) was that kid due to inheriting anger issues from her and her son's dad. Very interesting how she mentioned that one of the coaches that her son played basketball for worked that out of him and while it was painful for her to watch she let him work those issues out of her son without physically harming him and to this day he doesn't express himself like that anymore, so I guess you may be on to something Panthro, with the right coach you never knowHe's just.... misunderstood and frustrated right now. He can hit, he's a blue-chipper, and he has grades/scores for admission. We can take a lump of coal and press(ure) it into becoming the beautiful diamond. I'm a living witness. PV saved my life.

He close tho. So he black.Glad he ain't Black!
This was an expected outcome, considering his race and the blown publicity the act received.Texas HS football player suspended from all athletics after attacking referee

WOW!!! PV got some powerful juju. LOL!!! My niece, who attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, speaks of Stillman in the same way you speak of PV. So does my best friend's daughter who attended Southern. Now, they both admit that their respective school have issues. But they both say that attending Stillman and Southern, was the best decision they could have made. But anyway, lets get back on topic.
I still say that kid is bad juju.
Same thing happened to me. I broke someone ribs from Lake Providence HS in one of our last games. Meet the guy my freshman year at gram in the dorms. He was talking about the incident and never knew that I was the guy who broke his ribs.I snapped a former blue-chip RB's ankle (pre-season #2) my sr yr due to my anger & background stuff I did relating weightroom gains that went unchecked and unmonitored. Oddly faced dude one last time in a weightroom 1.5 years later as he was still on crutches and spoke of his probable nfl career down the tubes because of an asshole from my hs. He didn't realize he was speaking w/ the dude who did that to him. Dude was one of my victims my sr yr. 1 of 4+ I vividly recall who got the ambulance ride to the hospital. smh

His teammates and community aren't happy with him.
Come on and fill the admissions papers for PV. We need a LBer who isn't afraid to hit a mf'er.

Send him the admissions paperwork to PV and let him quietly do his 2-years of probation in Waller county w/ a renewed focus on what he has learned about self-accountability, his actions, renewed focus, AND lets give him plenty of opponents to hit unmercifully as he desires.
I understand this young man at 17 because I was once this young man @ 17 when I went on a semi-**** **** @ 17 on an opponents sideline and wanted to destroy everyone and everything on their side that was wearing red/blue, including their coaching staff. There's "stuff" that occurs about certain programs relating the weightrooms and I'll leave it at that.
Piling on doesn't help the young man. He can be saved & refocused to be positively purposed.
I am not advocating that the young man was correct, Found. I'm with you and everyone else. It was a horrible decision. I'm only focused on having the young man return to the side of right, including being punished as the law prescribes.Panthro the kid is a coward. He hit an older man who was not in pads. These kids wear protective equipment for a reason.
Another point to this....where is this kids momma and daddy...my son got an attitude with one of the coaches and my wife screamed out...."Jay listen to your damn coach. Now!!!!" Lil dude was like oh snap let me get rid of this attitude. Right after she said it I screamed out "Now get your head out of your ass and concentrate." My son told us after the game that those words motivated him because he felt we were paying attention to him good and bad.
Exactly. There has to be steps to redemption. We (as humans) only focus on the punishment side and not enough on how to help the person redeem themselves.Everybody doesn't have great parenting, Found. We cannot expect a young one to have everything he or she requires in the form of a knowledgeable, active, nurturing, and guiding parent. Some of us didn't grow up like that man.
I'm suggestive of rehab/refocus/return of the young man by throwing a life-line while he's attempting to wade the waters of life and you are caught up in your angered emotionalism to a point where you want to throw him a chunk of 2000lb concrete and have him drown. smh

Dead as doorknobsKinfolk, if Found had his way, all of us would've had the death penalty for the wrong stuff we did in life.![]()

Yes, I read where he had a prior incident. Apparently no one changed his behavior. Is it too late for him?Didn't Beans or somebody say that this wasn't his first time? That's why my responses are that way....
