Texas College names former NFL Cowboy Greg Ellis head football coach





They are an NAIA school and play in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC - Huston-Tillotson, Jarvis, Wiley, et al) for all sports, except football. For football, they are part of the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC) - tx wesleyan, swagu, et al.

Are these (RRAC and SAC) all-Texas conferences?
 
If Texas College can figure out a few things, they really could become a decent sized hbcu. Tyler is the largest city in east Texas and that can be semi attractive to some people. Same goes for Huston-Tillotson. Young people love Austin. I'll never understand why Wiley doesnt re start its football program. They seem to be a stronger college than TC. Plus they have more history and tradition
