Texans-Colts

It was not a choke. I don't think the Texans played the final four minutes scared or were tight. That is a choke. The Texans, especially their quarterback, made really bad decisions that cost them the game. Also you have to blame the O.C. for the loss as well.

I mean, why the heck are you trying to pass the ball with lead that late in the game? The coaches put the team in position to lose. That is a bad decision.

The examples you are providing are the reasons why I feel that the Texans choked. Remember. They played this game at home.

It did not matter if the Texans played that game in Houston, Indianapolis or Mars. There were a series of bad decisions made in the final minutes. The coaching staff put their quarterback in bad situations by trying to do too much. That is not choking. That is playing risky football.

I understand trying to be aggressive and trying to win, but you have to be smart. The last four minutes was anything but that. Choking would be if the guys went out there the last four minutes and played scared.

Did the Cubs choke?

In the second inning of Game 2 they did. The Cubs lost the series because the Dodgers pitched, defended and hit better than the Cubs. You have to tip your hat to L.A. for just playing better.

Now, I think it is kinda of tough for a team to choke if the losing team gives solid effort. Why? Because there is opposition. There is another team out there trying to win as well. A lot of people said the U.S.A softball team choked. No. They got outplayed by Japan in the gold medal game.

I believe if a team goes out there and plays hard and loses, then there is no choke. If you can see fear or tenativeness in the play, then that is a choke.
