Are these games live and what do we need to get Fox South?

Yep or it may be the new one (the old Turner South) that they bought but I'm thinking it's FSS.

TP,

move back to ATL :lmao:

This is great for me. I was mad as hell that I was gonna have to miss this game. Now, I can still catch it.

So is BET showing any games this year? The SHC was always shown on there. Has the contract ended or something?

We are being told that BET does not have a sports department anymore. If you notice Madd Sports, etc..are gone.

Boy, you guys certainly are using you some HBCUs aren't you? :swink:

lol

We've been independent since 67 and have always played who we've wanted. This is nothing new.

The King is back

TP,

If you have Direct TV or Dish. Just order the sports package and you can watch all the fox channels in each region.

Bengal E,

Yes Fox Sports Net did buy out Turner South. We are building out the control room to house them. We are also putting Big Ten's Network together.

A brother is tired. But I can't sleep. :smh:

Few athletes are able to successfully play two sports on the major-college level.

Then again, few athletes have the skill to actually do it.

Pope John Paul II senior Golden Tate is one whose goal of being a two-sport standout in college might be closer to reality than fantasy. College recruiters from around the nation are bombarding Tate with attention, and most have agreed to let him play football and baseball.

?If anybody has the tools to do that, he does,? Pope John Paul II football coach Jeff Brothers said.

Tate, who will be a senior this fall, has received the most attention as a football standout. Coaches from Notre Dame and Michigan have visited Hendersonville. Representatives from every Southeastern Conference school, other than Florida and Georgia, have been by. Head coaches Bobby Johnson of Vanderbilt and Phillip Fulmer of Tennessee have made personal visits.

As a football player, Tate is regarded as the top prospect in Middle Tennessee and uses blazing speed to terrorize opposing defenses as a running back, wide receiver and kick returner.

In 2005, he earned Division II-A/AA Mr. Football Back of the Years honors after rushing for 1,027 yards and 11 touchdowns, catching 38 passes for 813 yards and nine TDs and returning three kicks for scores.

?For what he?s able to do from a multi-position standpoint, he?s just so dangerous and capable of taking over a game,? Brothers said. ?You can?t lock him down as just a running back or just a receiver or just a kick returner. He?s a very versatile player who is equally talented at all those positions.?

As a baseball player, he?s a standout center fielder with a potent bat.

In one sport or the other, Tate hopes to eventually play professionally. The journey will begin a year from now when he heads for the college of his choice.

?I don?t want to regret it,? said Tate, 5-11, 190 pounds. ?You only go to college once, right? I don?t want to quit baseball and go to a game and see that I had a chance to go pro. I don?t want to be sitting in the crowd at a football game on a Saturday watching those guys run around.

?It?s going to be tough, but I like challenges.?

Tate?s top five college choices currently are Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia Tech and Florida, which just recently entered the picture despite not yet having personally visited Tate.

?I?ll have to sit down with my coaches and my family and see what they think, but ultimately it?s going to be academics, the coaching staff and how they produce players,? Tate said. ?Do they get them into the league? My chances of starting will be [a big factor], because coming in as a true freshman, that?s what I want to do.

?My list may change by the time I take my official visits. I never tell a school I?m not interested. I want to keep my options open. What happens if something happens to where I can?t go there? I can?t close a door because I might need that door. I tell everybody I?m real unsure.?

As for playing two sports, Tate has no doubt about that.

Yeah man. They got a lot of white people walking around that campus. And they get scholarships too.
