Teen Takeovers- whats the point?

It's becoming a big problem in DC. They have a curfew in place, but the kids are still hanging out and fighting. The parents have to be held accountable at some point. Some of these kids are disrespectful.

The police departments have gotten fed up with that shit. They're locking up as many people as they can when they catch them. They tried it in Cobb County of all places and it didn't end well.

What is the point though? Is it just young folks hanging out and like always some show up to act a fool or is it worse?

It usually starts out as a bunch of teenagers just hanging out. But often times it turns into violent nonsense. Like for example, they tried it at The Battery where the Braves play. They post it on social media so a ton of kids from all over the metro show up and basically take over the venue. Problem was, they bring all that street shit along with them. A bunch of em ended up getting locked up for having guns. Fights and nonsense that makes the people there to actually see the game feel uncomfortable.

Kids nowadays have too much free time on their hands.
Saturday night after visiting my parents, I drove back to Douglasville and stopped at a gas station on camp creek. It was 3AM lol...a car pulled up to get gas beside us and 4 dudes jumped out the car that looked like they were anywhere between 12-15. Just out doing whatever the hell they wanted to with no worries...even though a large portion of the metro has a curfew because of all of these young kids shooting up shit.

It's hard for me to get how that's even possible because I didn't start getting freedom to be out past the street lights until I was in high school. I never even tried my folks on coming home late. I already knew the screen door was gonna be locked and the porch light was gonna be on so I'd have no choice but to ring the doorbell. And you already knew what time it was when that door opened. Nobody is paying any attention to where a lot of these kids are,, let alone knowing what they're doing.

I honestly don't think it's a generational thing to be honest though. I grew up with a bunch of dudes that I was tight with that did that same type of shit. We were racing go karts and they were on the corner in all black with a gun...doing hand to hand transactions in broad daylight. Not everyone should have kids.

What you are seeing the consequence of pandering to echo chambers, grifters and don't vote crowds. Especially the "you can't tell me BLEEP" crowd.

The folks who are the reason you got school districts where homework is outlawed. YES there are schools where teachers are forbidden to give homework.
After school activities that are NOT sport related-do not exist. Why? Aside from funding-it's a battle to get parental permission slips back that allows the kids to be in said events.
Programs to help kids-face battles to get into the schools because of SOMEONE in the school. Or the anti-DEI movement (thanks couch sitters) eliminating programs.
Kids who are home alone way too much because parent is working 2-6 jobs. So you get kids out at 3 in the morning.
Jobs-not everyone is willing to hire a teen. They rather take an adult.

This is the ammo that FEEDS a certain political party. And you NOTICE how you the narrator was talking in that video. That is not a Roland Martin or any of his guests-who will give you an explanation about the factors that lead to this.
It's someone FEEDING a certain base. Who somehow get into places of power and we all know what happens after that.

What we need to do is start beating their azz. Putting them hands on them and stop making excuses for these lil retards ain't working. Remember the teen boot camp program that everyone cried about? Put them back in those boot camps. It might not save all of them but I bet you enough of them do that hard manual labor and they will sit down. You will never save all of them that's just life but if you can save 4-6 out of 10 it's worth it.

Man, you know you were not visiting your parents. You were out clapping cheeks. LOL, just messing with you. I grew up in a small town in Mississippi. I didn't hang out late until my junior year in high school. My parents knew where I was. It's a respect thing that a lot kids don't have today.

These kids will not be intimidated by that. Not these gang kids. Kids that are walking around with a gun modified in a way that gets you guaranteed fed time and not caring aren't getting intimidated by any of that. If they go to jail, it's just a reunion with all the other ones that have gotten locked up for many of em. When you already have no moral compass at 13, it's too late for many. LaGrange is struggling trying to get that shit under control. Somebody dies on one side, a few hours later there's a retaliation shooting on the other side.

Yeah these kids are different today. Gotta admit I would have never thought that about Lagrange when I was little. Troup county was a different place back in the 70's especially West Point. lol I spent a lot of time on Carver St at my grandparents' house. My grandma went to Union Springs Baptist church. My granddad went to the Methodist Church across the street from Union Springs I forget the name of it. They are both buried there along with all their brothers and sisters. I don't know if it is still there. I haven't been to Lagrange in years. I need to make my way down there to see my family, but my lil cousins and their stay in so much trouble I just stay away. I know you know some of my crazy cousins. One of them owns a club or used to own a club in Lagrange a few years ago. Last I heard he sat his baby momma car on fire in her yard and running from the po po. lol I remember about two years ago my sister who stays out in Henry County was on the phone with one of them and her neighbor was being smart with her. Those fools drove up from Lagrange about 10 deep to her house ready to jump off. lol They were trying to get me to come to Lagrange to his club a few years ago after our family reunion in Atl. Mane I act like I was coming and dipped off and came back to Huntsville. lol

you from West Point? related to any brooks and bridges?

Part of it now is remember now your seeing 2-3 cycles of the single parent generation and 50 years of some families still in the same projects - add social media to the mix it to glorify it its crazy -

corporal punishment is a thing of the past and these kids know they can get away with things easier now in the system. Some of these mommas now will protect their sons regadrsless of how bad they get
