SWAC's Postseason Request Allows Transitioning Schools into League Postseason

A lot of their posters are delusional. Remember, we're talking about a program that has won 1 championship in 17 years that has a middle of the pack SWAC budget. If they move anywhere it will be to D-2 in the SIAC. They're pride will not allow them to do that so they will remain in the SWAC.

I see you like being too modest. You really meant to say just above two teams (Grambling & Valley) from being last.

J94, you maybe a little too young to remember, but there was a time where each school prepared their own schedule and didn't have the leisure of being lazy and allowing the conference to prepare it for them. The only schools that needed that assistance are the ones that are not attractive enough to find legitimate opponents.
So once again, JSU was hampered by the SWAC bylaws.
Back in the days when I was young I'm not a kid anymore, But some days I sit and wish I was a kid again.....

Ok. Seriously, we all know that nearly every AD has been lazy at 1 point in time when it's come to scheduling. And I hear your arguement regarding the SWAC COP's and commish.....very valid arguement.

But do you honestly think it would be easier to make a complete schedule? YOU ARE JACKSON STATE!!!!! Not Notre Dame. I mean, we already have 9 games scheduled. It's hard to find 2 or in some years 3 more games. Already, teams are only scheduling 1 extra game whereas others are scheduling VA-Lynchburg to fill in a date!!!! And because most teams are in conferences, it would be even harder to: 1) find games in October/November and 2) setup multi-year deals.

JayRob, I know JSU had a compiling decent schedules way before the 9 game mandate. But, it just seems like it would be challenging.

Since Valley and Alcorn may decide to nix you guys, who would JSU schedule? Right now, as an independent, there's only 1 game on the schedule. How and who would guys like to schedule?

JSU has survived for decades when other non-SWAC schools visited Memorial. I highly doubt if Valley and Alcorn will not want to play JSU because we bring more fans than any SWAC school.
One other thing Jay, you talk about you bring more fans to their school. As an independent, would you really want to travel to Itta B? You are pimping yourself out to the cess-pool!!!!

I said earlier these guys are delusional and get an attitude when you tell them the truth. So sad, the 224 lowest budget out 230 in the country fans talking about going independent. :smh:  :emlaugh: (BTW, this is Obama's fault as well as the rain outside) :emlaugh:

If this conference is a "cess pool" (and I am not saying it is) it started with jsu going 0-13 in the I-AA playoffs. It is the single most damaging stigma attached to this conference in terms of competitiveness against out of conference foes. This is a program that came to Atlanta and embarrased the SWAC against NC A&T and followed that up by letting the MEAC abuse them in the SWAC/MEAC challenge.
Once again, can't have a decent discussion about what's going on TODAY with these "so called" institutions of higher learning and their dedication to excellence. This is ALL some folks know. Let's talk about playoff records, RV numbers, and any other thing that will help easy the pain of the ignorance that sister schools has shown (and continues to show) to the other higher learning institution world.

Ok let me see if I got this correct. JSU is going to leave the cesspool known as the SWAC because it's corrupt, and than after leaving they're going to schedule schools like SU, GUS, ASU etc? Is that about right?

Lemme ask one question....nnah two

What makes you think that...

1) Any of those school will want to schedule a school that left the conference?

2) What makes ou think the conference would allow them to schedule you?

3)Have you notice how that's working out for TNSU?

Okay that's three.

1. Can SU (or any other SWAC school) "afford" to turn down a check from JSU and to bring fans to their stadium?

2. Can SU (or any other SWAC school) "afford" to turn down a check from JSU and to bring fans to their stadium?

3. Can SU (or any other SWAC school) "afford" to turn down a check from JSU and to bring fans to their stadium?

The answer is yes. Your check ain't as big as ULL's check. Damn shole ain't big as the check we will get play UGA next year if the SEC don't make them pay us off first. LOL.

J94, with a very competent AD and school officials, ANYTHING is possible. See, the SWAC schools have ALWAYS made "lazy" hires. From athletics to administration, so we EXPECT AND ACCEPT to have personnel that can't add/subtract, schedule/contact, or walk/chew gum at the same damn time. Things can (and should) change. But it must first begin with your mind and thought process. If you don't think you can do better, then you will never do better. And I think ALL the SWAC schools that are academically ineligible (and not just with sports) have already proved that point.

Well, take us off your schedules (permanently) and let's see how that works out for you guys.

This is a shame. It takes Texas Terror to post an article for "some" of us to have a serious discussion on this topic. Smh.

:shame:

Can you believe the question though? Nevermind that we have 2.3 million dollars more in revenue with less sports than they do. :smh:  :emlaugh:

Dude please.

Bruh...can you believe I tried to open this thread 5 times and Kenn deleted it every time. But let somebody else come open the thread and it can actually stay open. TexasTerror must be white or something. Must be nice.

Its amazing what these people from these uneducated schools will do to avoid the topic of academics. But they are just a microcosm of black society. Its just who we are as a race
