It is called being smart. We shouldn't have to use our #1 pitcher or over extend our staff for the "Bamas" game.(Emphasis on shouldn't) It is clear that against Valley or Jackson, you would have a much more competitive game, thus meaning using your ace.

I thought yall had so much pitching depth, doesn't matter who SU plays. At least that's the sentiment i got from your peeps this season. Don't count out the Bama's either, that kind of mentality got yall sent home last season. FYI, we played Valley in 2010, 1st round and beat them and in 2009 we played JSU in round one and beat them. It can be done but not if you're scared. BTW, We won the tournament last year with 3 pitchers but we are a little better off this season. Don't sleep on anyone.:read:

Well, while Grambling is playing in the loser's bracket, I don't want to hear about matchups and having to use your best pitchers in game 1. What is there to be scared of? SU has pretty much owned JSU for the past decade, and Valley always chokes when it gets down to crunch time. However, both teams do have the talent to beat us.

Scared.

Just allow the teams to do the job on the field and afterwards you can celebrate or shut up because you have no reason to celebrate. All this talking doesn't mean jack.

No doubt in my mind SU is going to be doing the celebrating come tournament time. They just need to shore up a few things.

That's the way most feel about their team but sometimes things just don't work out like you wish. Just let the teams play and see who's standing when the dust settles. The tournament bracket can help you, harm you or just prolong competition that demands you to pull out your aces. Any team on the West side is capable of winning the tournament and on the East side Alcorn seems to be the team on that side that can win it. They are playing the best baseball in the conference currently by far actually.

Like Jag94 said, yall were in the weak bracket. SU, Jackson, and Alcorn were in the other bracket. If Gram gets in the losers bracket its going to be tuff with 3 pitchers. Last season SU almost pitched its way out of the losers bracket, but errors did them in the 2nd matchup with Alcorn. Think they had 5 or 6 errors.

Some folks are new to this  . The more seasoned fans understand matchups and SUch. :) Post season play is all about pitching and defense. :)

Yes it does. Wouldnt want to be in the bracket with the West 2 and 3 and East 1. Thats always the tougher bracket. Look @ the history.

Did that bracket help TXSU last year? I distinctly remember they were first place last year. All these excuses and it's funny how you criticized someone earlier. Listen to your own advice for once.

Thats the bracket yall were in it help yall lol. Last season Gram, Bama St, Valley and TSU were in that bracket. The winner the last couple of years have come from this bracket. SU, Alcorn, Jackson, and PB were in the other bracket. Now you tell me what bracket was the tuffest.

West 1, West 3, East 2, and East 4 are in one bracket and East 1 East 3, West 2 West 4 are in the next bracket.
