THE DUST HAS STARTED TO SETTLE!!!!!!!!

1. GSU - The boys from Louisiana Normal College are leaving no doubt who is #1 in the SWAC. Only obstacle now is the Bayou Classic. Bruce has emerged as the #1 qb in the SWAC. Going to play TSU in Houston is just a mere formality. G-men should win by at least 3 TD's.

2. Alabama A&M - Do you believe the outstanding job Anthony Jones has done? The Bulldogs are rolling. With a week off to prepare for JSU things are going to be quite interesting in Jackson in two weeks. Talk about SWAC referees all you want, the Bulldogs won the shootout with the Hornets. I believe.

2. Alcorn State - This week will determine if the Braves are really back. Coach Thomas has done an excellent job this year. I don't think the Braves are going to leave Baton Rouge with the Jaguars scalp this week. It should be a good one.

3. Alabama State - You see, you see. While tying to sneek in the back dooor for the East Championship you let one get away. I guess Cole will be checking the Bulldogs roster for illegal transfers. You have a week off to start another investigation.

4. JSU - Well Get Ready and the JSU Mafia will have an easy one this week in Pine bluff. You can bet for the remainder of the season they will be asking for Hughes head. Maybe they'll get Coach Shannon back. It's a sad time in Jack-town.

5. SU - the Jaguars got just what the doctor ordered, a week off and a undermanned Panther team. However, the injury bug struck again with starting qb Anthony Fisher. Jaguars are improving with the return of some key players from injury. But the interesting aspect of the PVU game was the play of the tight end and other younger players as the Jags appear to be getting ready for the 2003 season. Jags should win at home this week.

6. APB - The Golden Lions are sitting pretty to upset a down an out JSU team. Can the Lions pull it off? I don't think so.

7. TSU - Does anyone know what is going on with the Tigers? The G-Men are coming to town and Bruce and company ain't taking no prisoners. It's going to be a long night for Coach Thomas as Doug and the boys from Louisiana Normal College march through the SWAC West.

8. MVSU - Totten has gotten about all he can get from this group.
A victory against PVU is needed to show that the Delta Devils are heading in a new direction. Good coaching and organization is good, but now the focus is on getting some good football players. Valley will prevail at home this week.

9. PVU - Lost against the Jaguars shows you that 15 scholarships just won't cut it when you playing the big boys in the SWAC. The future is bright now that Dorsey can go out and get some players. And there are more than enough players in the long star state to make PVU respectable. Sad homecoming in Itta Bena for Coach Dorsey.

Last week: 3-1
Overall: 34-17
