For all of you that think it was to harsh, Id like you to give me one incident in college sports, D1 football or any other sport, that any coach critizie the refs in such a manner and use vucarity as if he was on the corner of lynch st ,towards them and they weren't both fined and suspended.
SMH @ a $1,000, I would have hit his ass up for 5G's

Not the vulgarity but three SEC coaches criticized the refs last season. ..
Also, Bobby Knight got away with a lot of foolishness with only reprimands and fines
ummm people, what planet do yall live on that yall didnt see this (or more) coming? This aint the first time a coach has been suspended for this. In the past, the SWAC has suspended women's bball coaches for criticizing the refs and what they said didnt come close to that comegy outburst.
pops,
Do you also extend that same sentiment to Jsu, since comegy was sanctioned by the school too?
Du-her sharp is a flat out joke. He's only doing this because it made headline news. Fine the man and move on, but to fine the man THEN suspend him, while letting the so-called refs get off virtually "scott-free" without even a reprimand? It's a joke just like his sorry azz. The damn refs are primarily what makes the SWAC look like a joke to begin with. They need to be held accountable too.
The SWAC refs are a direct reflection of who FN doo-doo sharp is, which is SORRY azz hell and incompetent. Damn near 40 penalties in one game is damn ridiculous. Why don't Doo-her grow some damn gonads and fine or suspend the officiating crew? It's because he HAS none.
so, what exactly did the refs do that warranted them being suspended? We all have seen the tape of comegy and there is no denying (at least from sane, sensible people) that he should've been suspended, but where is the tape of all the so-called "ucking cheating". I was there and again, this is nothing more than a case of comegy crying cause he lost. Did the refs miss a couple of calls? Yup, but that happens all games, for both teamsDu-her sharp is a flat out joke. He's only doing this because it made headline news. So it's the criticism of the Refs and not the profanity that got him suspended? That's how it seems to me... but that would be consistent (I guess) because I don't recall B'way being fined or reprimanded for the "Take this Fugging Job" comment. Perhaps because it was near the locker room and not recorded by the media.
In any event, I understand the fine and reprimand. I don't like the suspension because that could affect the result of the game and SCG participants.
Since Sharp says we hold everybody else in the SWAC to a high standard, how about we suspend the whole SWAC office and make them pay a fine for being useless and sorry. Fair is fair, don't you think. The SWAC office is more embarrassing.

Did the refs call back jsu's game-winning td on the last play? Nope
Did they call back any Jsu Tds? Nope
Did they call back an ASU TD? Yup
Even the jsu folks who were at that game can only mention a few calls themselves (and heck, some of those were in the first half)
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Comegy reacted like that because he lost.
I don't want to make it look like I'm taking up for Duer Sharp, but he has suspended game officials before. SWAC football game officials were suspended as recently as 2008 following the Jackson State-Mississippi Valley State game.
After Coach Broadway was reprimanded for lashing out at game officials last season Sharp said, “Public criticism of our game officials in any sport will not be condoned by coaches, administrators, or student-athletes,” Sharp said.
When I trying to find info for past SWAC game ref suspensions, a lot of stories popped up about SEC football officials. Apparently those cats have a reputation of not being Grade A either.
I think you could go around to any conference and find that few fans, coaches and players hold game officials in high regard, though. Even at the pro sports level there seems to always be grumbling about refs or umps needing to be better. It's just something we all have to deal with.

Also, Bobby Knight got away with a lot of foolishness with only reprimands and fines
Accounts of Knight's sometimes temperamental behavior inevitably mention "chair-throwing." That incident occurred during a Feb. 23, 1985 game against Purdue. IU was losing and Knight received a technical foul for protesting an official's call. He reacted by picking up a chair from the IU bench and tossing it on to the playing floor. He received a second technical for that move, and when he continued to protest he was ejected from the game.
In 1993, fans booed Knight for apparently kicking at his son Patrick, who was then a player. In 1995, IU was fined a record $30,000 after Knight berated an NCAA volunteer at a news conference. In 1998, the school was fined again after he made derogatory remarks about a referee. Knight paid the $10,000 fine himself rather than be suspended for an NCAA tournament game.
Knight's defenders - who are both numerous and passionate - point out that his offenses are flashes of temper and not issues of ethics or integrity. His recruiting methods at IU were never tainted by ethical violations, and he would not tolerate off-the-court misbehavior by his players. He insisted athletes attend class and pursue degrees, and the graduation rate of his players was always high. Knight was also been a quiet benefactor to various causes.
But in March 2000, a series of allegations about Knight's behavior prompted a university investigation and new calls for his removal.
The chain of events began when former IU player Neil Reed alleged,in a televised CNN/Sports Illustrated report, that Knight grabbed him by the neck in a choking manner during a 1997 practice. A videotape of the incident was leaked to CNN. And, at about the same time, The Star reported that Knight's boss, Clarence Doninger, felt physically threatened by Knight in a Feb.19, 2000, confrontation after a game.QUOTE]
As I said before, I didn't hear all this damn whinging about the refs Oct. 16th and there sure as hell were a bumch of questionble calls and acts in that game, the least of which was the refs running off the field and refusing to give SU the 1 sec left on the clock.
The ones at the game on the 16th in Jackson must have all graduated from JSU huh? He's suspended, he's fined, we took the L...Move on. Comegy and crew have been known for penalties but this season we were not that bad . Middle of the pack but not dead last like last year. The only other game we got called for this many penaties was the SU game and they got plenty that game too.
Must be these night games or something...Smerk... The calls in this game set the other team up for easy scores when we were about to get the ball back or moving the ball. The other team got calls but they were late in the game and several we're on the same play.
Why do you guys continue to debate the obvious. Let's not even get into the refs that are graduates of the indivdual schools...It's a Joke...
Dude you guys got away with Holding all night. Man you got plenty calls. That's why you scored so many points...
