No excuse for not having anyone there. That's why you have a staffing. His representative could have easily stated, "Please keep the SWAC Commissioner in your prayers, he is in the hospital but send his blessings to Grambling State University and North Carolina Central University. I am (insert name) of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.....yada yada yada"

As I tell people all the time, if you die tomorrow you will be replaced within 24 hours whether it is by a new hire or shared responsibilities.

No type of contingency plan for situations like this. For a conference leadership staff, it's bad but I don't think anyone is surprised

I wish him well, but where do I sign the got damn petition? This ain't personal..... this is business! Even when healthy, he's a train wreck. He needs to be gone! I'm sure SU would disagree because their ass is grass if that beech is gone!!

How you think Southern benefitted from Duer's leadership? He ain't did nothing to help us, or any other SWAC school, with APR
