Man, I'm stunned...no smack this time (not yet anyway). I don't think it's scheme as much as it's just these kids ain't playing that well. I really haven't watched them this season but looking at the numbers they are not handling things up front.

I've watched them and its way more than just kids aint playing that well lol..the coaching is very suspect and the defense is aweful.

Your staff is aiight but right now you are living off of an experienced defense.

Dude you have more excuses that a hooker has crabs. You say some of the most dumb and juvenile things. So it's Grambling's fault that the staff recruits well? We are playing without key players in Anthony, Anio and Dillon. Our coaching staff just knows how to prepare our team and they teach fundamentals, that's the difference in our success vs many teams in the SWAC. Mind you we are playing with a freshmen quarterback. So what's the excuse there? So is it a bad thing we have experience on our defense? It shows there is consistency in our program. Point Blank. Period!

i have seen SU twice this season and I would have to say its coaching and the players, Stump jus reminds me all too much like James B@#l, just the way his team play and the lack of kno-it-all ways......

MB, don't think our defense won't get better. Our MLB should improve week to week just as you say Black should improve. PV showed on Satruday that they don't have the horses to run with JSU. Yeah, you may have fumbled and that helped us stay in the game but we took that fumbled and scored......got the ball back and marched down to the 12 yard line. PV was hopeless when they fell behind....as you will be the next time we play you.

That's what you think no horses? Then just tell your team to party with everyone else homecoming week and you will find out how much of a mistake it was to schedule sorry PV for homecoming. You act like we can't improve and we don;t have players that will be back by the time we play you, you see what being cocky got eddie long, I'm just saying

I gotta give it to PV, they are a force to be reckoned with, but I still say that their offense is suspect.

I recorded the Grambling/PV game last night, so I'll see what's wrong with Black. Perhaps he came back too early from his injury. I hear he's not the same player he was last year. Kinda reminds me of that defensive player they had a year or two ago, who didn't put out during his senior year for some odd reason.

I saw the game too and PV offense is very suspect KJ Black is not the same qb he was last year that knee injury is nothing to play with he wont be the same as he was last year....

I think PV folks realize this deep down or at the least in their private forum, but they probably won't admit it in public. Oh well....

KJ threw for almost 250 yds with one leg, he still better than most SWAC QBs even nicked up, the RBs are nicked up right now, but if we have to use the waterboy, we will have a RB by the time we get to Jackson. Imagine how the game would have gone for Gramps without Warren and Walker, then you would understand. No excuses because injuries are part of football, Coach Frazier will address our issues during our battle with MVSU

Didn't Bama State just give up 41 points to Alcorn? If that's the case, how can they be better than Alcorn?

Bama State turned the ball over to Corn atleast (5) times including the bad snap. Take away those turnovers, the game would have probably been different. Don't get me wrong Alcorn appear to have a good team and came on the field ready to play. So for right now, Bama State still has a chance to go far the rest of the season. I also said and will say it again, UAPB shouldn't be counted out of nothing in the West. I honestly think they will beat every team in the West other than GSU, and if i was GSU i would be worried about PB.

I feel ya, but I'm sure our coach knows not to overlook anyone. Last year UAPB got the best of us and are always a tough out! Our team is playing well, but only because we're playing hard and smart. We have no room/margin for not putting forth our best effort. This conference has several good teams and I honestly think that anyone who overlooks another foe (regardless of record) is asking for trouble.

I wouldn't mind seeing this one on TV. If the Lions can't stop Warren and let him get over 150yds. then it will be all over.

In one short year, it seems that the SWAC West has abdicated it's throne as the stronger division in the SWAC.
For instance, Bama State defeated PV on the road. Bama State defeated PB. AAMU defeated SU. It seems that in 2010 the East is the stronger of the two.

Yeah, we know Grambling has won a few games, but that's basically it. Texas Southern defeated AAMU, but turned around and lost to Tuskegee.
JSU, Alcorn, Bama State and even AAMU have a shot at the East.
No one in the West has any chance of beating out Grambling.

With the East going 0-3 vs. the Western Contenders... Care to revise your statement?

The Eastern Team that hasn't lost to a Western opponent is Alcorn, who hasn't played one.

Grambling and Texas Southern are a combined 2-0 vs. the East, beating Eastern contenders a combined 4 times.

The only quality win to date for an Eastern team over the Western Contender is AL State's last minute 18-15 victory at PVU.

My statement still stands. It's too early to change it.

I know we didn't lose our game against an East team on Sept 18th, 2010. I could have sworn that's the year it is. O well some people have to hold on to the years though. Poor them.
