27-51 404 yards 4 td's 1 int and u can't get co-player of the week???? just asking.

I don't think so either. Nelson completed just over 50% of his passes. Also the INT doesn't help Nelson too much. I would say going off of those factors alone, Kelcy Luke had a better day, but I guess TDs scored trump all.

He lost didnt he?

that means nothing. An SU db got defensive player of the week the week Tyrone Timmons torches his arse for 13 catches and 177 yards. V. Dancy from JSU also got defensive player of the week one week they got blitzed.

FYI, SU's Lewis did all of that playing only 2 1/2 quarters of football. He was pulled from the game after he threw that 5th TD in the middle of the 3rd qtr.

SOUTHERN-TD, J Vernon 46 YD PASS FROM J Lewis (M Ackley KICK) 6:24 1st Qtr
SOUTHERN-TD, T Thomas 6 YD PASS FROM J Lewis (M Ackley KICK) 13:13 1st Qtr
SOUTHERN-TD, J Vernon 32 YD PASS FROM J Lewis (M Ackley KICK) 9:02 2nd Qtr
SOUTHERN-TD, J Vernon 3 YD PASS FROM J Lewis (M Ackley KICK) 13:25 2nd Qtr
SOUTHERN-TD, L Nicholls 4 YD RUN (M Ackley KICK) 0:12 3rd Qtr
SOUTHERN-TD, G Landry 74 YD PASS FROM J Lewis 6:24 3rd Qtr

I feel a thread questioning *ramblin*'s class or lack thereof coming on. :|

Interesting SU....

Plus, backup quarterback C.J. Byrd, a true freshman, got in a game for the first time, with 5:34 left in the third quarter, and added 79 yards on 11 carries
So Pete put in a guy that hasn't played all year and could have gotten a red shirt and put some seperation between him and JC with 2 games remaining in the season...Yeah that is classless

And he only threw 1 pass and they ran the ball the rest of the game making sure to stay in bounds and run out the clock.

CLASS.......

What R QBs a rarity in La Mach?

Isht, there are @ LEAST 579 available ones here in case you guys need one. <b>Every single year</b>. :retard:

Carry on w/ your *SU logic.

What is "class" and "dignity?"

You couldn't possibly understand the eb and flow of football. So I undertand how your statements make sense to you.

What? :shades: Surely you jest. :retard: Obviously all of you (spears and company) have pow-wows and are on the same page.

Unlike you, I won't divert. I DO understand and DO NOT understand why your 2nd string QB can't play. And don't give me that salty BS about saving a redshirt etc. :retard: No other outgoing Srs or even Jrs who could be the backup to take snaps and <b>hand the ball off</b> Mach? :read: U know... since y'all "saving redshirts" and all. :retard:

I'm really trying to understand *SU logic.

My original thread disappeared. :retard:

Expected. Not as quickly though. lol :hat:

Don't hate on the messenger. Hate the TRUTHFUL message. The truth ALWAYS hurts and by golly, I'm gonna' spread the GOOD word.

<b>CLASS IS</b> taking a knee on 3 consecutive downs on your opponents 27 yd line w/ ~1.52 tix on the game clock and up by 27 pts. :retard: <b>CLASS IS</b> running the ball when your decently effective passing game is clicking while STILL up by 27 pts.

<b>CLASS IS</b> pulling your starting QB in the middle of the 3rd qrtr while up by 41 or 42 pts. :retard: And, RUNNING the ball to milk the clock.

How does *ramblin* define CLASS? Up by 35+ pts, 34 tix left on the game clock, and going for 2 pts. :retard: Yeah, it's CLASSY alright. lol It's <b>CLASS</b>less. :retard:

You couldn't possibly understand the eb and flow of a football program.

We don't have a backup Junior or Senior QB on our roster.

Mach,
Save the 'classless' stuff. Midway thru the 3rd Pete took JC and Vernon out of the game. With the score 41-0 he didn't see a reason to leave JC in and take a cheap shot or receive an injury. Plus, our backup at the beginning of the season has left the team.

Why continue to throw 40 yd passes when leading by 5 td's?

Save your breath/keystrokes Jag! U won't get an honest answer out of them outside of "it's because they are <b>GRAMBLING</b> and they do what they do." :retard:

What date did Barrow leave? So you mean that Byrd couldn't have played in any game after the departure of Barrow?

Panthro did a qb from pv throw a pass in the 4th quarter against uapb when ya'll were up 27 to 7?

There was a total of 4 passes in the entire 4th qtr with 3 of those passes in the first minute of the 4th quarter. There was 1 more pass that was incomplete at about the 12:30 mark left in the 4th qtr.

So......

So weren't they trying to score when you threw the passes in the 4th quarter?

Actually they were trying to move the ball to get the first down so they could run some more and run the clock down. We however did score again all on rushing plays. Passing in the 1st 2 minutes of the 4th qtr is no where close to throwing bombs in the last few seconds of a game to score and score some more by the 1st string offense when up by 40 points and going for 2 in the last 2 seconds of a game.

And.....

And.....

So it is ok to throw if you are trying to get a first down, but not a passing touchdown? So if we throw the ball and we run it in for a touchdown it is ok.

Stop it Mach! :| This isn't even fun anymore.

I have issue w/ that going for 2 stuff. :| It takes the sportsmanlike conduct out of the game. There are "unwritten" rules/guidelines to follow and spears isn't following suit. :| Y'all know it too! :shh:
