we are going to DOMINATE during the season............then
we are going to DOMINATE post-season and post-season honors.
Every National pre-season publication that I have seen (in-stores and
online) has picked, rightfully so, UAPB to win the SWAC.
not only the West, but the SWAC. It's almost time to witness the

lol for someone who hasn't won a swac championship, UAPB does to much bragging, trust you never know what will happen in the SWAC, win something then talk!

you can tell a school that finally had a decent season lol, UAPB is not use to that lol! What's the sad thing is they didn't win the SWAC Championship and they are really hyped up about the Polls which are opinions based for what's on paper lol, it takes more than that to have consistency, which they will find out this 07 seaons lol!

You shole is right. The Target is on their back this season. It is one thing to win when nobody picked you. It is another to the favorite and everybody gunning for you. Gram and SU have no pressure and neither does PV or TxSU. PV may have a little just because they are improving and expect to take the next step. We will see if PB can whether the storm being a frontrunner or fold up under the pressure of being expected to win.

If the same polls mentioned your school's winning potential You would swear that they were right on point! This is a bad sign for a hater!!!

So what's the excuse of everybody else who did not go to UAPB? Everybody on here brag on their own school, Kofthejungle is no different from everybody else that brags about their university. :smash:

The difference in UAPB vs GSU/SU it is expected and normal for us be high in the polls and to field championship caliber teams: our schools, alumnus and the fans expects us to kick arse year in and year out because we have done that many times! We don't have all the Championships and success for nothing! Having one good season finally doesn't make you a powerhouse lol. It takes a lot of work and drive to have consistency. GSU,SU and JSU have the right to talk smack about football because we've done it all in the SWAC! All i'm saying is a (UAPB) didn't win the SWAC Championship in 06 but is acting like they just been dominating the SWAC and if my memory serves me right, this was UAPB first trip to the SWAC Championship since being back in the SWAC, talking to much noise to early lol: UAPB is going to learn soon and hard what it takes to be a Champion! This season will display if UAPB had a fluke of a season because GSU and SU weren't on it or it will show if UAPB is a true competitor. !

P.S. if UAPB only have 4 people to fear, then yall should be the ones that should be fearing the SWAC lol

Well peeps from GSU,SU,JSU,A&M,BAMA STATE can brag our teams have won the championship many times, especially Grambling and Southern! Yall are talking to much for not to win the SWAC Championship and finally making a trip to B-HAM, but it is expected of peeps that are not use to success! Yall are writing checks that yall can't cash i see it happening! Yall talking more stuff than the players that are on the football team, that i mind you have not started camp yet and who knows what can happen from now until the season starts. That's all i'm saying don't speak so soon then look like a fool!

nope not saying that at all, you have to have a team that has been first won a championship, UAPB hasnt done that since joining the swac again! Then you have to stay consistent, it's harded than you think bruh. UAPB is talking to much shat! What's the sad thing many feel yall only won the SWAC east because the west teams were weak in 06 and UAPB had to win while teams were down: now if yall have a season like yall had this year, you should start talk shat! If it shows that yall had a fluke season, then many will talk about UAPB bad lol! Can't wait until the season starts lol!

You do realize how stupid your comments sound don't you? You mean that the only way UAPB can win is when GSU and SU are weak? And I guess when you guys win you're just better right? You should sell snake oil or get a traveling tent and preach using snakes! Anytime a team wins they are better plain and simple!!! Get used to it!!! You will receive a ROYAL arse whipping by the NEW KINGS OF THE SWAC!!!!!!!!!!!

it showed that's the only way UAPB won the SWAC East, just look at the 06 records of Grambling and Southern and it would show you that! New Kings of the SWAC lol, i know you are sleep walking lol or as some peeps call it "SLEEP TALKING"!

There is no doubt that the Lions are loaded. However, the road to the west title will still be determined by your success against SU and GSU. The East will be determined between AAMU, JSU, and BAMA State.

JSU's faith will be determined by the success of the offensive coordinator (he lacked the ability to adjust to the SWAC defenses during the 2006 year, which caused the Tigers several games).

Bama State's defense should be one of the best in the SWAC. However, the key to Bama State's success will be determined by their adjustment to their new offense.

We (AAMU) only signed 5 players during the recruiting season, we lost our top 4 running backs, we lost 3 offensive linemen, we lost our best linebacker (Johnny Balwin), we lost 3 coaches, we lost our best defensive lineman (Lockhart), we lost our best defensive back (Black), we lost to P.V. during the regular season, and we do not have a consistent field goal kicker. Now that I have got that out of the way, we will not use that as an excuse like someone else on this board.
