SWAC football to stop playing below D-2 teams in 2027

the biggest issue is regents (when you have athletic friendly ones) and presidents don't have the longevity to make major changes - when you start getting momentum then the people in the room change and your back at square one unfortunately - when you had alignment between the two (McClelland-Rudley era) the Dynamo Stadium was put in front of them and that basically took everything that could've went towards campus to that situation
1.5million for a 30 year lease. Would have given you a 2 seat stadium.

Bye bye Lynchburg and Lincoln University of CA lol
Lincoln University of CA is not even fielding a team this year and maybe closing up for good. My question is what lead to this move, as it seem that some schools were willing to continue scheduling non NCAA schools given some of their future schedules.

If they did field a team, they definitely were getting scheduled smh

What prompted this move is probably bettering our chances as far as an at-large bid in the FCS playoffs (with SU, GSU and ASU being ineligible). As long as Coach Jackson is at PV, he definitely is gonna call out the weak scheduling

I like PV schedule for this upcoming season.
