Am I the only one surprised by the comments made by James Spady in how he prepared his team going into the game against Grambling? Some (AAMU folks) may not like it, but I commend him for being honest enough to own it.

I had to go back and listen again...lol..sounds as if he has his players defeated even before the game started.

I understand exactly what he is talking about, I remember my son's basketball team practiced so hard for a team of ex team mates that they made themselves play so tight it was 16-0 in a basketball game before they got on track.

However watching both teams play, he was outgunned this year just like PV was, GSU has the horses this year and he couldn't have changed the outcome of the game even without them playing tight. But I know his honesty had everyone tripping, poor Spady, seems like a cool dude, but he has had a time this year.

Jenkins is very complementary too in comments towards Fobbs.

Spady prepared his team to meet the dragon. Like a dragon, Icon Gram torched the field. His humility was on par.
