Coach Jones has gotten his team to the SWAC Championship game 6 times...that means at minimum 6 successful seasons....hell he has done better than most coaches in the SWAC. A & M would be foolish to get rid of him.

Cold weather, leather ball, young back fighting for extra yardage... usually results in fumbles. Yeah, he has NFL potential...yall got any backs better? I didn't see it...last time he played SU, he had 195 yards and we won!

Disagree. He has only won once. He hadn't been since 06, no wait. They lost to PV a few years back. Jones is just like Bob Stoops.

Well technically his contract is up so he wouldn't be getting fired per se. But it all comes back to your goals as a program. With Jones, you know you're going to win consistently, but you also know that you'll never be better than 8-3, and you may be good for 1 title a decade. If you judge your program by record, then Jones is a guy you keep. If you judge your program by championships (and yesterday was one he had no excuse for losing), then it's a strong case for letting Jones walk.
