Swac Football Attendance - Week 9


Those rankings could easily be toppled if a certain school had showed up for homecoming, if Alcorn beats PV and the Memphis game was credited to JSU since we were the home team. Oh well, 10 out of 13 ain't too bad though.

on the same token though imagine ASU counting MCC this year 63,113 is more then we've had in 4 home games. What if SU counted Bayou classic. That's a tough break on yall homecoming though.

Yesterday was a perfect day for football.For the first time in years, the weather really permitted all the ratchets to come out. I was sure it was going to be a sellout, and am still convinced that count is incorrect. Hell, people were all in the rafters!
 
Shreveport must be paying PV a fat check or something because I still don't see why it's being played there (all the big cities in Texas... And it's in Louisiana)
 
we would have reached 70k if AAMU had a good record..similiar 2 last year or better

we reached 63k with 2-5 A&M team

Also it was probably 20-30k usually outside tailgating....a lot of people don't come in the game

From what I read on another thread, a school is currently working on the Schematic Design & Design Development Phase of its stadium project, whatever that consist of.

If it means they are going to build a stadium that would be nice. Their current situation makes no sense.

Ohhhh ok...now I see why the MCC attendance is always pretty solid...meanwhile the Florida and Bayou Classics are charging $50 or more for reserved seats SMH

$25 is a GREAT price and is working...I might attend the Magic City Classic next season...I really want to check out a SWAC game...just depends on FAMU's schedule

The NCAA does not provide a direct link to its weekly attendance numbers. Therefore, you would need to navigate through a 5 step process with the link provide by Jrock. Here are the steps:

1. Click on the link provided by Jrock;
2. Place mouse over the word Select Sport and click on Football;
3. Place mouse over the word Select Division and click on FSC;
4. Click on Misc. Report; and
5. Click on Attendance.

I'm sure that is what it means, but what I'm trying to figure out, what does the Schematic Design & Design Development Phase consist of? I can only assume that the phase consist of surveying and geotechnical works. If that is the case, they are probably more than a year away from breaking ground.

Since NCAA requires FBS schools to have a minimum stadium capacity of 30k, I think the NCAA should require FCS schools to have a minimum stadium capacity of 10k. Schools with 6k to 8k seating capacity should be made to move down to Division II or Division III. Since most HBCU's at the FCS level already meet that requirement, I think the NCAA has unfairly allowed PWC's to compete at that level without actually doing much in facility upgrades.

Prairie View 6,000
Howard 7,086
Delaware St. 7,000
Bethune-Cookman 9,601
Savannah St. 8,500

There are high schools with bigger stadiums.

That would mean 1/3 of the FCS would have to move down. Not sure that would be realistic.

They shouldn't be allowed to recruit and compete on the same level when they put very little in their facilities.
