Tigers/Ducks

Oregon fan here.

I can't say I know much about the Grambling B-Ball squad other than that you had a rough time of it in-conference last year. Are you improved this season? Who on the roster should us Duck fans keep an eye on?

This will be Oregon's first non-exhibition game. They'll come in sporting two 130+ scoring perfomances against one of the, er, mighty EA Sports squads and the Australian Institue of Sport's team.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
 
I wonder why I have the feeling that UAPB will upset The Ramblin' Wreck of Georgia Tech?

Did not say UAPB will win, for some reason I have the feelin' that UAPB will upset the yellowjackets.

Even though Georgia Tech has an EXTREME HEIGHT advantage, I still have that feelin that UAPB is going to upset the jackets! :D
 
Oregon vs. Grambling

Any Grambling fans or other SWAC fans want to come talk hoops about this weekend's Oregon vs. Grambling matchup, stop by http://www.educk.com then click on message boards, then Duck Hoops.

As fot the Oregon team, Luke Ridnour (jr. PG) and Luke Jackson (jr. SF) are the two stars of the team. Ridnour may leave the Ducks early for the League next year and Jackson is not far behind in talent. Andre Joseph (a Dr. Dre look-alike) is a JC-transfer SG that will be big either in a starting role or off the bench. Robert Johnson is a San Francisco native PF that nearly averaged a double double for the Ducks last year. Brian Helquist, aka the Diesel, is a load down on the block. He'll start for the Ducks at center. Oregon is a great 3 point shooting team, and James Davis leads the way for Oregon from outside. He is a 2 guard who loves to throw them up from outside. He's got Tracy Murray type range, but plays much better defense.

What's the scoop on Grambling? I've read a lot about Paul Haynes so far, but who else should I watch on Sunday?

PV starting it off good with a 78-75 win over the University of Houston. Looks like the student(Francis-former UH asst), took it to his former boss at their home. The panthers looked pretty good, ya'll better watch out when you come to Texas.....
 
The Baby Dome will be a rough place to play this year. If I have to see to it personally.....Ask Fiyah;) :D :lmao:

rough weekend, rough weekend. for the swac. even the feared alabama state women's team was wallopped.

our ad said he will build hoops first so it can generate interest to other sports since most swac schools invest too heavily iin football. Maybe he's right at this point.
 
Well, I got no indication of how good AAMU is because we only played TU... All I know is that Pettaway needs to get back to the old "I am going to beat the hell out you" attitude that he use to have. AAMU was up by 20 with 10 minutes left in the first half. AAMU SHOULD have won by more than 40. As much as I am going to HATE to see it, I got enough courage to attend tonights AAMU and Vandy game here in Nashville. I probably wont be able to stay because I HATE seein AAMU lose in basketball. I have only seen AAMU lose about 10 times in my whole life.

George Tech has that kid out of Dallas (Lincoln) from last years high school national championship team. I'm sure he had 40 blocks.

What happened in the UAPB-Memphis game? I just heard them talking about suspensions and a fight in the game. This is the first I have heard about it. Now they are gettin drummed by Illinois (I believe that's who they have tonight) to the tune of 75-33.
