I guess Pettaway will have to shut all the SWAC coaches up AGAIN.... They do this every year.

Coach L. Vann Pettaway and the Bulldogs will make fools of these pollsters again....just as they've done the past three years.

Man!!!!

I give up on these dumb folks!

Every dayum year we have idiotic picks and then we turn around and show them how stupid that isht is.

Anyway..... OK! We gonna finish all the way down there. Stupid MFers......

I aint even mad.... it is funny to me... We beat everybody at least once, some twice last year and return 4 starters but we picked 6. SMH They must not have seen how AAMU STILL ran teams when the SWAC refs called 3 quick fouls on Des.

Jackson State Basketball

I agree that everyone in the SWAC must be smoking dope. How in world can all-everything,"Mr.Excitement",Tim Henderson be picked second team ALL-SWAC.He carried our team last year after the certain promblems with our basketball. No,disrepect to Cliff Walker but this clearly proves that whoever votes on this doesn't reconize who is going to put this league on the map.Even though we may still go 0 and eleven before we win our first game or still turn the ball over 20 times a game we should be more exciting and finish higher than seventh place in the SWAC.

I ain't hardly an A&M fan, but to have them picked 6th is damn stupid. And they say they return 4 starters from last year's squad???

I guess SU and PV really sucked to be picked below us.

And why in the hell is Cliff Walker and Alvin Pettway on anybody's first team.???

And he didn't have no business being All-SWAC last year, either. That dude sucks. Y'all might be 2 time defending champs if y'all didn't have him.

I agree!!!!!! :(

But Pettway has somehow "wiggled" his way into All-Swac these past two years.

A&M

A&M is rated too low. They will finish in the top four. Pettway is one of the best coaches in the league, plus he had a good recruiting class. ASU's Pettway can not be checked by any player in the SWAC. He has proven this over the last three years. The coaches in the SWAC know this.

I think Alcorn should be picked first after that who knows.

I think our guard play is the key to us beating a lot of teams in the SWAC. I expect us to be better this year. Last year was Coach Courtney's first year in the SWAC, he finished fourth.

Last year we played only six players, most of them played over 35 minutes a game. We signed two freshmen, I expect both of them to play at least 10 minutes a game if not more. I look for us to play any where from seven to ten players this year.

The SWAC coaches or athletic directors must have let TigerPride do the rankings. He is the only one, besides GR, who would deliberately rate a good class of returning starters for A&M that low.

These raters, whomever they are, must really hate to see A&M at the top of any SWAC list. Well, they will just have to get used to it.

MH:

There is no reason for you to be all giddy about the rankings. You know, as well as I do, that the road to the SWAC championship runs through Normal. And don't forget that you Bumblebees got a massive tail-kicking coming this year. The Bumblebees beat us twice last year; you can't do that to us with impunity. We are going to take the Bumblebees to the huge venue at the Von Braun Civic Center, and many, many more people will have the opportunity to witness and celebrate that gigantic beating.

PV returns 3 starters with size, several top folks off the bench and signed some good players and they are picked ninth? We swept SU, split with Valley and TSU and this is the respect we get? I see why Stribling was eyeing our coach.

I voted due to some complications and I had AAMU at the top along with TSU. SU and UAPB was last.

Pettway told the new commish they need to move the media day before the start of practice. He said they would not move the cash cow called football to the middle of the practice season. Stribling said they need to move the tournament to Mississippi because Birmingham has no home field advantage.

"There are 3 teams in Mississippi," he said.

GSU's women's coach was mad because Prairie View stole 2 recruits from him. He said our coach used the audit excuse, LOL. If one of them was that guard I saw the other night we got a good one.

Blu Panther:

You knew what you were doing and voted rationally. If all voters took their votes seriously, their rankings would be taken seriously.
