I was encouraged by our game at USM. We faded late, though. I look for us to start strong, but finish much better.

i think the TSU vs Miami game will be an interesting one have to see how miami rebounds after that loss on saturday but i believe it will come down to the last seconds

TSU (2-0) over Wiley College 113 to 94. Ready for Thursday to see how the team responds after a sluggish start today. Go Tigers! Good luck to all other SWAC teams in play this week!

67-51. We led by 3 at halftime and was neck and neck until about 8 minutes left. Had 4 guys foul out(USM had 2) and 2 others with 4 fouls. Can't say they cheated but the hand-check rule definitely game into play.

Agreed. :smh: It's going to screw a lot of teams. Some say a lot teams have adapted to it but the refs make it seem like that.

Wiley could beat some teams in our conference. They are not a bad team.

The new "hand check rule" will not accomplish its purpose. It has placed the outcomes of games into the hands of referees. I think this is clearly shown in the SU-Middle Tennessee match-up. The outcome of that game was determined by the referees.

I think we can beat a lot of the teams on our schedule if the refs stop injecting themselves into the game so much. 53 free throws for Marquette and 55 free throws for Middle Tennessee? I can imagine how horrible it was to watch the game due to all of the stops in the action of the game. Of course if we shot 70% or better as a team from the free throw line, we still win both games, but 108 free-throws in 2 games is unacceptable by the refs.

Please don't post updates to the annual PV scrimmage with Shreiner tonight, they might get mad enough to beat our team since we made no upgrades or changes to our not so good team, nothing to see at PV :smh:
