Here's the scenario..............

Grambling was in if TSU didn't blow the lead....PV is officially out the race on the men's side...

If Alcorn State wins on Saturday and TSU wins and GSU loses..all has 7-11 record and a three-way tie for 6th that's determined with tiebreak policies which unofficially put Alcorn State in as the tie would among those teams would be broke with their record versus Alabama State..after that..who knows as I'm not clear will they go head to head with GSU and TSU or they'll match their records against Valley which would mean GSU is in...

If Alcorn wins and GSU and TSU loses, GSU and Alcorn is in as TSU only has 6 wins....

if PV wins, both Alcorn and TSU lose.......TSU is in as they win the 3-way tie...

if GSU wins, SU loses and TSU wins....GSU jumps into 5th place tie with SU and UAPB and GSU clinches 5th as they control 3-way tiebreak

if GSU wins and SU wins, GSU ties with UAPB but clinches 6th...

We got a transfer from PV who is sitting out this year. Not sure if she is any good though. She was a freshman last year from Birmingham.

It's not like SU is burning up the conferance with their defense, there are 6 teams out of 10 that are 2 points within eachother.

Now, what happened to Prairie View. Prairie View is out of the race and they had a one point lead at halftime on 4th ranked Tennessee?

SU has a 5th-year senior in the post in Fred and a 3-year post in Indi Johnson....they should be tough down low as they take up alot of space

if you are referring to mens... AAMU was more hurt by injuries than anyone. We lost two starters the first 2 weeks of the season with season ending injuries... our second and third leading scorers. We will be tough the next two years. We have one senior this year... and one junior.
 
I've watched Pettaway..he'll usually have a bad to horrible year in return for 3good years of high level basketball....

his 02-03 team sucked but they won it all in 05...

his 06-07 team sucked but they are decent now and will be top 3 at best for next 2 years..
 
TBF, before the season I posted about the improvement in talent at Bama State and you said that they would have to play together a while to become a good team. Could you provide your assessment of the job Lewis Jackson has done so far in this season.
