SWAC Baseball Weekend 3/18-3/20

Man i'm trying to find the link. There is one but i can't find it. I'm getting updates from GSU Sports on Twitter.

If we can get this doubleheader today against ASU, we're off to a great start in the SWAC before facing JS-u and Alcorn...

The alcorn braves swept alabama am with a 14 - 4 win in game three of the series sunday afternoon .alcorn is 5 -3 in the easterrn division. alcorn will play at nicholls state tuesday night and they play at alabama state nenext weekend.

Grambling needs some relief pitchers badly. We keep losing big ass leads i was really pissed against Centenary College. we had them swept and let em off the floor.

The Grambling State Tigers baseball team broke out the brooms today as they completed a sweep of Texas Southern, 18-14, in Southwestern Athletic Conference action.

It was a war of attrition on the diamond today as Grambling outlasted their visitors in the rubber game of a three game series to draw their conference record to 3-3. TSU picked up two runs in the opening inning before the Tigers unleashed a five run first followed by a two run second inning.

Grambling would extend their lead to as much as 9-3 after adding two runs in the fourth. However, TSU would storm back and tie the game at 11 in the seventh inning. Grambling would retake the lead in the bottom of the seventh and tack on another five runs in the eighth as they held on to the victory.

Published: Mar 21, 2011 - Page: 2C Comments (0) One day before his scheduled start, Southern pitcher Cody Hall sat in the dugout Saturday afternoon at Lee-Hines Field, watching his teammates make quick work of Selma University in a doubleheader sweep.

One thing, in particular, stood out to him.

“Our pitchers were blowing fastballs by them,â€￾ Hall said.

That was good news for Hall, who’s been known to light up a radar gun or two.

Sunday afternoon, in a 10-3 victory that clinched a three-game sweep for the Jaguars, Hall asserted his dominance early, striking out the first four batters he faced.

“I was just going to challenge them with a fastball and see if they could hit it,â€￾ he said. “Once they proved they could hit it, then we’ll start mixing it up.â€￾
