The other time when Dio got threw out I think it was a hit and run and the batter didnt swing. SU defense isnt a problem. I do think the ss and 2nd baseman needs to switch positions, Demario started @ SS and the freshman played @ 2nd to start the season.

Man, come on.... :lol:

Even if the scoreboard showed 3-0, you don't attempt a steal!!! SU had the reigning SWAC MVP and Pre-Season MVP who had already hit a homerun in the game at the plate with 2 outs.......and you try to steal??????

But before then, in the 1st inning Ozzie got doubled up on a line drive hit to the 2nd baseman with no outs!!!! When I was 9, my LL coach told me when a line drive is hit you make sure it goes beyond the infield before taking off. He is a college SR and making base running errors t-ballers make. When OUR SWAC teams make these type of mistakes, it gives the pitchers relief. Bautista may have struggled just to get out the inning. But, base running blunders hurt us.

As far as the defense, I don't know who would be better at 2nd but communication needs to be better. Thats why the throw from 3rd ended in right field.

That's a mental mistake from the base runner...One should never use the scoreboard for the balls and strikes. What probably happened was someone missed a sign. Maybe the base runner thought he seen a steal sign when it was actually nothing. Maybe the batter missed the hit & run sign. Unless you know the signs, I would suggest not assuming/guessing what the coached called.

So the base coaches didn't know the count either

8-4 TSu bottom of 7th errors have got JSU Back in game
