UC-Irvine is a tough squad....not saying that because SU lost either. I remember when they went to Wichita State and took the Super Regional.SU threw good enough to win, but the bats never woke up.

It wasn't a horrible 10 or more run lost. I thought for sure SU was going to make some noise when they had runners on 1st and 2nd with 0 outs and Hall was at the plate.
They were a 4 seed last year at LSU and almost beat them but I think they would fare better as a number 3 seed. They really have the arms.
That was at UCLA last year. LSU beat them by 1, 11-10 in the 1st game but they ended LSU season in the same regional beating LSU 4-3. LSU was the #2 seed and UCI was the #3.

No I'm talking about SU and LSU. I meant to say 2 years ago when they played LSU at Alex Box. They led for most of the game but couldn't get more runs that allowed LSU to creep back in the game and win.
