TSU is best team in the SWAC West right now but don't push it. Don't try to steal something from SU and mess it up. If you steal someone's phrase that they are known for the objective is to make it better not make it suck or corny.

Lost a heart breaker to ULL. Well, I wouldn't consider it a heart breaker but it would have been nice to beat them. They are the hottest Louisiana team right now.

GRAMBLING — So it comes down to the last day.
Southern University put itself in position to win the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division title Saturday with a 9-5, 5-1 doubleheader sweep of Grambling on Saturday that put the Jaguars into a first-place tie with Texas Southern in the West.
But Southern (21-20, 16-6 SWAC) does not control its own destiny on the last day. Texas Southern (26-23, 16-6), which defeated Prairie View 14-2 Saturday, plays a doubleheader against Prairie View today after bad weather only allowed one of Saturday’s scheduled games to be played.
So Southern can win today’s 1 p.m. regular-season finale against the Tigers and still finish behind Texas Southern if TSU sweeps the Panthers. If Southern wins and Prairie View wins either game, Southern will win the division.
Acting SU head coach Fernando Puebla, who was filling in for ailing head coach Roger Cador, said the Jaguars are peaking at the right time with the SWAC tournament coming up.

Cador should stay away from the rest of the season.
SU still has some issues that need resolving. In yesterday's games, with 1 out Lamis tried to be a hero by throwing out a runner going to 3rd on a grounder hit to 2nd. He ends up throwing the ball into gsu's duggout. The inning continued and they tied the game. Also, SU needs to quit dropping fly balls and pop ups!
Grambling got on base at least twice by the bunt. Still needs to work on that.

Dude please. SU beat pitchers with 3-5 and 3-7 records for crying out loud. In one game Grambling left 12 runners on base. If you're proud of that, then your standards must be mighty low. Seems like you're REALLY reaching.
And grambling has 1 of the best offensive teams for crying out loud!!!! Ask Alcorn what they can do! Be glad they will not be on your side of the bracket!
And while you are telling SUJag to put down his blue-n-gold pom-poms YOU need to put down the blue-n-gold haterade shades!!!
Watching the games yesterday, they played grambling much better they did a month ago. Pitching was better. Defensively, SU was better but has room for improvement.
