Ladies and Gentlemen,

This email is coming from a former Swac athlete and now concerned alumni. I just find it ridiculous that we do not have the capability to have all our athletic championship events to have live updates. Right now, we have our Swac Championship in Baseball going on in Baton Rouge and I have to get updates from athletic trainers, parents, fans, and worst of all 2 on-line message boards.

Many of you are athletic administrators in some fashion and its sad that you also have to rely on other folks to provide you information if your not able to attend an athletic event. Granted, we have it for football and basketball, but what about the other sports. There are many concerned family members, alumni, and students that would love to hear how their University is doing live.

I couldn't even get emails for certain school's athletic administrators. Is this an issue that needs to go directly to the presidents of the respective universities. I do believe the Swac and some universities have gotten better with their athletic information, but I find many things ridiculous. Especially, how there are many D-2 and D-3 conferences that provide these services on their websites or conference championships.

Lets see who responds with some ideas and who just ignores a concerned alumni.

When you try and make positive suggestions about things that we as a conference or Hbcu's need to improve on, some fool will tell you to stop hatin.
I think you make an excellent point though. We should have had a gametracker type system a long time ago.

Also,

I didn't attend it, but I heard that in the Valley/Jackson game yesterday, that the Valley coach got tossed, left the park for a couple of minutes, then came back, set in the stands, and was giving signals to his team. Did you hear about this?

Unless I'm wrong, isn't he suppose to leave the park permantly? Anyone know the SWAC Rule?

I'm a baseball guy and agree.....the bad part was that I was prepared to do something like that the longer we stayed in the tournament but I didn't last past 2 days and no one was going to fund me beyond those days to stay..we experimented with stuff like that in our new basketball arena....

I was tempted to rig up a aduio feed for the title game depending on who got to the game as we know about ESPNU availability....

maybe one day.....maybe one day...I'll just add that to my proposal
