Nobody was afraid to put up anything. You are just so worried about SU falling back number 2 in the West.

Afraid to put up the score? We already pretty much concluded that we lost the 1st game. The radio from TxSu was malfuctioning and if you had reading comprehension skills you could see that we're still getting the real score of the 2nd game which we won. The only reason I got the score from the first game is because they just said it on the news.

Dude you should be ashamed because ya'll got blasted so bad that ya'll turned the lights off in order to cancel the game.

Please stop acting like TxSU has a bad baseball team. Didn't ya'll get beat by Bama St earlier in the season? I thought so.

Dude, tell the whole truth. We also beat New Orleans, the team that beat LSU, the team that beat SU. Take the good with the bad. You ain't gone win 'em all, so leave it at that.

Just like we tapped y'all a**, well worse then that and to tell you the truth, there is a big difference in losing by 2 runs then 15 runs.

TSU ends Southern baseball winning streak

Advocate staff report
Published: Apr 20, 2008 - UPDATED: 1 a.m.
HOUSTON ? Jarrett Maloy had a disastrous start as Texas Southern ended a 12-game losing skid, snapping Southern?s nine-game winning streak, by taking the first game of a doubleheader 11-8 Saturday at MacGregor Park.

The Jaguars then won the second game 10-5 as James Armstrong, Victor Franklin and Brad McDavid all homered and Chase Richard, returning from injury, threw four scoreless innings before getting into trouble late.

Maloy allowed eight hits and two walks in two-thirds of an inning, with Texas Southern taking an 8-0 lead in the first.

?Maloy couldn?t get out of the first inning,? Southern coach Roger Cador said. ?He didn?t have anything. ? It was one of those days. I probably stayed with him too long, but I kept thinking maybe he could find it.?

Southern (20-12, 12-5 Western Division) and Texas Southern (9-26, 5-12), which got its first win since March 28, play a single, nine-inning game at noon today.

Junior Sherrard Brooks (3-1), the current SWAC pitcher of the week, will start for Southern today.

Dude, that was a month ago, yes a MONTH ago.:emlaugh: Seems like JSU is still the measuring stick for your school, even in baseball. You may have won the battle, but we're winning the war. Last I recall, JSU's in-conference record is still the best in the SWAC. Oh well....

Gsu wins 9-2 and 28-15 against Pine Bluff. Both GSU and SU have a final game today in their series but it looks like the upcomming Grambling/Southern series in Baton Rouge next weekend will be big. I can see Coach Cador whinning/crying and drawing up more injury reportst this week than he usually does. He got more excuses than Carter got pills. He knows he can't afford to lose another 2/3 to Coach B-Rey again. GSU gone bring that fire. No excuses. Should be interesting!

GAME ONE BOX SCORE
GAME TWO BOX SCORE

PINE BLUFF, Ark. ? Grambling State scored a total of 37 runs and seven homers during a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon as the Tigers captured a twinbill over Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Taylor Memorial Park.
The Tigers displayed their power from the plate in game one as they recorded three homers en route to a 9-2 win in the opener.
Shannon Maheia and Adrian Turner hit homers in the second and third frames to give GSU an early 3-0 lead. UAPB drew to within a run after a two-run homer in the third but Grambling got the runs back in the fifth thanks to several errors by UAPB that led to two runs and a 5-4 margin.
Justin Kelly moved GSU ahead 6-4 in the sixth with an early run that was fueled by another UAPB error. As a result, UAPB was forced to make a pitching change with two runners on but the change didn?t go their way as Mychal Roby blasted a three-run homer to left center to extend the Tigers? lead to 9-2.
Mario Jefferson earned the win as he allowed five hits and struck out three in six innings of work. Manny Kumar and Roby had two hits each with Roby also adding three RBIs. Jerome McCollum led UAPB with a two RBIs while Sean Prater earned the loss.
Game two turned into an offensive shootout as GSU battled back from a three-run deficit and scored 28 runs over the final five innings of play to capture a 28-15 win in the nightcap.
UAPB led 3-0 after the opening inning but saw everything crash in the third as the Tigers put together one of their best outputs of the year with a 12-run inning that featured three home runs and 10 hits. The Golden Lions managed to score four runs of their own in the bottom frame to draw within 12-7 but GSU continued to score, score and score as the Tigers needed every run over the final four innings of play due to UAPB nearly matching their output on the scoreboard.
Second baseman Brandon Williams paced Grambling?s offensive attack with five of the team?s 24 hits. Kumar continued his torrid pace at the plate with a 4-for-6 performance that included nine RBIs.
Ronald Marshall survived the shootout and picked up the win for GSU on the mound while Daniel Gathright, who stymied the Tiger offense during the team?s first meeting in March, took the loss. McCollum once again had a solid day at the plate for the Golden Lions as he batted 4-for-5 with three RBIs.

Why everytime SU loses its "we were playing our reserves" "wasnt our starting pitcher, we had injuries"

just say they outplayed us this game.
