You're probably right. MSU will probably be there too. Which is not good for ULL. State is no easy out and has played much tougher competition than ULL.

We had the best team ever last year too..and lost in the semi-finals....we're definitely not on the down swing....we'll field another contender next year...don't worry

One thing positive is no matter where jsu is sent, the opposing team will play the percentages and not throw their Ace in a opening round game against a lower seed. jsu has some good bats so they will hit the ball. I hate we have to wait two weeks for the Regionals. Perhaps jsu can find a lesser opponent this week to play a tune/exhibition game to just stay in the groove.

No tune up needed. They better save all the arms they can for the Cajuns or tigers. We all know baseball is unpredictable. Hell southern had ul on the ropes this year headed to the 8th. Left bases loaded stranded, then bullpen imploded and let ul hang a 7 spot on them. One big hit and that would've been an upset. Jsu can do it if they don't shoot themselves in the foot.

We'll have to agree to disagree. Two weeks is enough time to develop rust on fielding and hitting. Of course they wouldn't throw valuable arms.

Following the bus fire, JSU didn't play a game until the first game of the SWAC tournament, which was a 14-day break.

Well I agree with 2 weeks being enough time to develop rust. I disagree with playing a tune up game to prepare. Dosen't make sense. They need to get those pitching machines on the that mound turn them sideways and throw a whole bunch of curves and sliders for batting practice. That's all they will see when they get to regionals because those folks believe SWAC teams can only hit fastballs.
