SWAC 2008 breakdown position by position (QB)

po po T pee pee......
.............untill you can understand the difference between $100k-$150k-$200k and $750kor $800k talk to me later. Everybody has their $$$ BIG MONEY$$$ games set for the year. AAMU has only one such game this year. Splitting $750 or $800k.......................is a lot better than grossing between $100 & $200k any day. Since both school have enjoyed record crowds or near record crowds at each others home site.......it is only natural to want to see it continued. C'mon dude think out of the box sometimes instead of taking a limp-Dick approach to business matters.

You wanna Smack...............take your bantum weight attempts (at Smack) over to the SMACK Board.........other wise, listen and learn.........Grown Men are discussing the merits of why they should have done some business deals together.

JR...
No fault here of taking the best deal that you can get..........we would have done the same thing however there were plenty of other opportunities (we feel) that would be beneficial for both of us. We took our home game with SU to the CCC and we thought that since we have enjoyed a great working and financial relationship.........there was no reason that we should try to keep that relationship going even with the new 7 game mandate???

I think the pressure on our AD is too schedule more home games now that the 7 game mandate is in place instead of the 9 game one. Valley is willing to come to us.....which probabaly made the deal AAMU offered moot. I think SU folks have no issues with AAMU and will work with each other in the future. But right now we got some bills to pay and we need as many home games as possible. I also think our AD is not going to look for too many SWAC games to put on the schedule if they don't count if he doesn't have too. We are starting to get locked up early for OOC games. For next year we have FAMU, ULL already under contract. Don't know how many years the Tn State deal is. Hopefully it was for 4. If that is the case, then we have 10 games already locked up........so naturally our AD is going to look for a team that will come to BR whether they are a SWAC team who is not on our 7 game schedule or look some other school. Now that we are locked in with playing Bama State in Mobile the next 4 years..........that means even if they roll off the schedule as a game that count.........it will not matter because we will have to play them in Mobile for the next 4 years starting this season.

Probably not TP. We agreed to go to Chicago when it was their home game last year. Itta Bena is still closer than Huntsville. But like I said, I doubt we go to Valley unless they are a regular game that count. Which they may be.

I am not going to touch your last statement.....I'll let the AAMU folks handle you on that one.:lmao:

I don't know about that JR. I mean if Valley was offered the Chicago game and invited you, that was up to them but that was already a favor to ya'll. You all act like you did them a favor by going to Chi. That simply ended the two year rotation they came to BR and they took ya'll to Chi. This would start a new rotation. What are they getting for coming to BR. Ya'll payin em to come? The Chicago game has nothing to do with this from where I stand.

I am sure Valley is getting paid to come. But believe me I would be very surprised if we went to Valley in a return game. Maybe they couldn't find another game or something. Because you would think they would have found anybody to come play them in Itta Bena. So whatever we are giving them must be more than they think they can make at home playing a team that their fans may not be interested in. Someone like a Paul Quinn type. You would have to ask Valley folks on what they think.

I guess I missed that announcement.....good deal on behalf of both parties.

From what I hear the deal is a good one. SU will get compensated like a home game the years we would have been in BR. The city of Mobile apparently stepped up to lock this deal in for the schools.
