Who in New Orleans actually 'watches' the game...I mean you either hung-over from that Friday night and trying to get yourself help, lol..but actually driving to New Orleans and watching the game...never heard of this...again blacking it out in New Orleans is a waste IMO....folks either going to New Orleans and NOT go to the game but attend other activities or recoup from that Friday night..I doubt many are driving are actually in New Orleans 'watching' the game...most folks are out and about partaking in the events..

3. those 1974-1997 numbers were people coming to see Eddie Robinson, and the 2000-2004 numbers were because both teams were winning, both teams need to get back on track for 70k to show up again !

To be honest I am not sure if the Bayou Classic will ever get back to it's Glory Days... :smh:

But going outside of SU/GSU would be the Death of the Game.. There just needs to be better talk with both schools and how to handle this...

Should never have another event during the MAIN EVENT. The committee need to correct that ASAP.

I feel ya bro.. However, there has got to be some radical moves at least temporarily in order to spike interest again in the game itself. In my opinion this might do it!!

and yeah those Events are a game Killer.. Champions Square was "Jiggin" bro.. :lol:
 
Bottom Line, and I hate to say this...alot of ppl are eating off the game and they putting/pumping money into their events outside of the game...hate to say...

If both teams are not strong, the events that are going along outside of the game will draw the crowds more so, you'll still have your die-hards attending the game, but the regular degular folks that's going to say they went, they'll stroll along to the events, they not trying to see a struggle GSU football team or SU team..so the events will hold more weight, but if both teams are playing for something and are solid, them events will somewhat be a side-bar, (which they should be)...The whole set-up is messed up, this year and I'll even say the past 3 years, the events outside the game have been pumped more so than the game itself...even Friday night event gets more pub than the actually game...We just need the GAME to be the FACE for that weekend...not all these other events..shid Kevin Hart event got more pub than the actual game lol..

Even my 9 year old Daughter was more interested in seeing Kevin Hart than the game itself!! :lol:

LOL...man I thought it was Kevin Hart weekend lol...much as pub dude was getting..

Remember back in the day that wasn't the case, lol..you had 'many' superstars down there and none of them clowns ran any ads on the radio lol....

again it's the marketing, you hit it on the head, the events promoters (can't knock them) are eating good off this weekend and they have stepped their game up...shid the average 22-28 year old going to the events doing the day..they could care less about a game if both teams are struggling, or one looking like a high school team (no diss) SU was that way too...I'm like if I'm riding down there, let me cut on the radio and see what's going on 'outside' the stadium lol..smh..The marketing dept (heads) have a battle within a battle to compete with....

But if you really want to be a super knee-grow, try getting some of those rich White folks to step outside of their boxes, like Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X did. :lol: :emlaugh:

I actually feel sorry for DCG. What little knowledge she knows of Louisiana and Baton Rouge was probably told to her by those delusional White folks at LSU. She is very unaware of the racist history in Louisiana.
 
Although what Mr Clayton said was true, i dont think getting rid of Grambling is the answer. The problem is the marketing of the game not a losing Grambling team. True its a fact that we bring 90% of the fans but that is the case with every road team that we play. Ask UL-Lafayette.

Don't think that I don't. I'm on their boards too. Doing the same thing. Taking the contrarian view just to see where the conversation goes. Whether I actually agree with the stance I'm taking or not. :)
 
I love q93 with all my heart that station fostered my love for hip hop but what they are doing to the classic with the Fan Fest is dead wrong.

IMO, White people in Louisiana are more responsible for what is screwed up in Louisiana than Black people. It wasn't too long ago that Black people weren't allowed to serve in political office in most Southern States, such as Louisiana.
