What were you driving ??? a herd of cattle?

Miami is 10 hours from atlanta if your doing the speed limit. its not signifiantly farther than New orleans, and its over 100 miles shorter than the trip to Fouston

As far as ballin, you ought to be tired of living low. Youve been to NO 1000 times. Why go back just to smell urine and stay in those hotels which are just as high as Miami. Get a plane ticket. Adults should be able to get one.

lol....please delete this $hit.................Manhattan.....hotel room costs as much as the Houston reunion...

where would we hold it? Central Park or on top of a flat on artificial turf?

New York City, borough of Manhattan; nuff posted.
I could get with that GSUpe. Im tired of going to New orleans and Atlanta. these are easild the most played out cities in Black America.

Don't mind me JST, the National Puerto Rican parade was in Manhattan yesterday. I only thought girls from the South packed cornbread and cabbage.

JST PLEASE!!!!!

MIAMI from JAX, FL is a good 9 hours and JAX from the ATL is 5.....You must have been drivin' 120 an hour or sleep "drivin'" on your way to Miami......

As far as rates go on flights and rooms, if you want to fly on a "crop duster" and room in a Motel 6..then be my guest....

NEW ORLEANS will NEVER play out Dough Boy, just get yo arse on a flight and make the trip...if not, continue to wear your SPEEDO'S on South Beach...............LOL!!!

Please Please Please Please

Not New Orleans...whatever you do, not New Orleans.

Lets do the cruise thing. Its not that expensive, the food and entertainment comes with the deal and you dont have to worry about all the small things. YOu can catch a cruise out of New Orleans just for the weekend and have a ball.

Lets catch the boat and leave New Orleans, not stay. By the time you get thru paying for food and hotels and all that junk, you will have spent waaaay more than it costs to go on a cruise.

So come on yall, think about it. Leave this Pine Bluff and New Orleans stuff alone.

Please Please Please Please
James Brown...send help

Who told you to go through Jacksonville? Thats your first problem. Take 75 to the turnpike then all the way to South Fla. If it takes you more than 10 hours driving 70MPH, something is wrong with you and your car, or aliens are abducting you and anally probing you on the way. :p

lawd have mucy clawd!!!!!

I'm ovah here just SMDH!

I think the thoughts are nice to have it in individual cities and I too am in favor of the SWAC school locations for all the reasons previously stated in other posts. We have folks in the city of each SWAC school.

Our goal is to make this bigger and better each year with participants from the SWAC schools, but we also want to market the SWACPAGE and its purpose bigger and better. We can do both!

We want people from the perspective SWAC schools to interact year round on the SWACPAGE...not just when there is a reunion.
The more the merrier. With that in mind I still think as suggested long before now, the reunion be held in one "central", accessible location or city or rotate year to year to all the SWAC school locations...not necessarily moving from city to city just because someone wants it there.

The reunion needs structure and a format...period. No matter what city it is in.

If it's not going to go from city to city where SWAC schools are located, then my suggestion stands that it should be in one city just like most of our other Black college related events. That's why they work!

Atlanta worked well for a reason, whether you feel ATL is played out or not, just like other events. It was suggested the year before it went to Houston that it remain in the same city, but
that didn't happen...perhaps it's time to reconsider that thought again before a final decision is made.

I'm down for other locations, but letz keep it real...

That's my 02. worth.
APW

Please people! Let not forget one very important thing. While all of you are making these suggestions on where to have the reunion, somebody has got to want it. Somebody has got to do the planning. We can't just say that we are going to have the reunion in "X City" if there is nobody in "X City" to do the planning.

Jackson, MS would be a great host city. Robber, are you going to lay it out for us?

Reasons why I think the reunion should be held in Jackson, MS:

Relevant:
-Inexpensive
-decent size city
-Jackson State University is located there
-Alcorn is not far from Jackson
-Robber resides there.

Irrelevant:

-I will be visiting my home state
-an opportunity to visit my aunt
-an opportunity to visit my cousin
-an opportunity to visit my line-sistah
-an opportunity to eat some good o'le Mississippi style soul food
-kick it in a jook (sp?)-junt

Reasons why I think the reunion should be held in Jackson, MS:

Relevant:
-Inexpensive - only plus
-decent size city - lol
-Jackson State University is located there - only 2 posters stay there
-Alcorn is not far from Jackson - no one from alcorn has attneced a reunion yet
-Robber resides there. - he gonna do it by himself?

--------------------
ATL was a success because of proximity...

Houston would have been better but folks have their own agendas here and the rain didn't help

if your a part-time poster please exit stage left

Jackson isn't that bad of an idea, and not because I'm from MS.
For all you gamblers out there, Vicksburg is only 45 minutes. And there are things to do. But what do you all think about having it in Biloxi, since JST is so adamant about having it near a beach. It's on the beach, you have the casinos, nightlife and its only and hour or so from Nawlins.:D

So with all of these posts we only have one person who is interested in hosting the reunion next year huh?

Unless somebody else is willing to host this, I guess it is pretty obvious where the reunion will be held next year.
