SU vs MVSU

3rd Qtr

Levy injured, out of game. Anthony Fisher in at QB, connects with Devin Lewis for 65 yd TD pass.

Levy may have torn ACL, headed to hospital.

SU 35
MVSU 0

Out of 10,000 + that showed up 20 had to be for MV, now that's a shame and it was their home game. I drove from North Dallas to attend the game.

Dayum!!!!!!

Valley had about 20 at the game, you think if just the players parents came they would have more fans than that.

I honestly don't understand why Valley would move their game to LA anyway. That was quite dumb. Their stadium holds 10K. THey could have played there and reaped the benefits.

Yeah, I counted 17 spreadout green and white shakers when Valley was performing at halftime.

The game was more profitable for Valley in Shreveport with SU. You all know SU travels. With it being Valley's home game and since SU no longer travels to Valley when we play them, Valley was able to capitolize on our crowd as all of you enjoy doing for one of your biggest home game paydays. I would have never went to Valley, but I went to Shreveport Saturday and drove back Saturday night.

I think the battle of bands is a waste of time, especially for $15. High Football is going to keep the crowd from coming to it. I don't know if there is a way around it, but the $21 and $26 tickets was too high for a Valley/SU game.

Peace!!!

What was the offical announced attendance?

TP:
I'm sure Valley was expecting more fans than 10K. I live in Houston and would have never traveled to Itta Bena but did make the trek to Shreveport.

This game was a nice start and Valley's dismal record should share the most blame attendance wise.

TBone2,

yes the attendance was about 10,200 something to that nature. When Southern scored a TD, you saw shakers from Southern shaking on the MVSU side and thats the truth.

How big is that stadium? We had the SU side practically completly full. We flowed into the endzone. We basically filled up the permanent seats on the home side ($27 seats). If the stadium is the size that I visualized, there were at least 18,000 on SU's side. Add the enzone and the home size, there had to be at least 20,000 there.

I can see them saying there was 10,000 or so at the game during the first quarter. But, by the middle of the second quarter, SU fans had finally come into the stadium. I'm not sure if they were on the fairgrounds, debating whether to purchase the high tickets, still tailgating, or what. But, they sort of gradually came in.

Maybe those were pre-game sells...

PEACE!!!
