SU vs JSU Sold Out!!





I thought it would sell out sooner than that, like Wednesday. But it would always be a sold out game in Baton Rouge. I'm predicting 31k to 32k. And TC and that other fool ninja (LaFluer) tried to move the game to Jackson, The game can generate more money in Baton Rouge for SU. I'm sure SU will make big on parking fees alone this year. SU should work with the nearby locate hotels and put together a list of hotels that would provide the best rates for visiting fans for this game. Also, put together a list of the best eateries for this game. It could be a win-win for the school and community. It's called marketing and advertising. SU has to take the lead on this.

SU should bring in temporary bleachers for the south end zone, which should increase the capacity by 1,500 to 2,000 additional fans for this game. Also, the bleachers would be a good indication to begin plans to close in the south end zone and add another 6,000 to 7,000 seats to Mumford Stadium, which should bring the stadium capacity to right at 35k to 36k capacity. After the south end zone is closed in, the next expansion project would be to add a deck of seat over the east side of the stadium with more luxury box suites. Our schools should be building on-campus stadiums with the capacity of at least 50k, but we have to crawl before we walk because these things just don't happen overnight.

I do believe this game has attracted people far beyond Louisiana and Mississippi. I've heard fans from other HBCU conferences stating that they have plans to attend this game. If SU could continue its stadium expansion and JSU make the decision to build a 35k on-campus stadium, this game definitely could become the best non-classic HBCU game played on both SU and JSU campuses. This game could be the model for other HBCUs and how to build large attended games on-campus.

I wish there was Drago's in Baton Rouge, but I do believe they just opened one up in Jackson, MS. The nearest one to Baton Rouge is in New Orleans. There are 2 in New Orleans, one in Fat City near the mall and the other one is located in the Hilton Hotel's lobby near the Riverwalk.

The atmosphere at Mumford is always electric when these 2 meet so I could just imagine what it would be like if Jsu ever gets an on campus stadium! I've actually met Jukebox alum that I look forward to seeing each year and whenever we come to Baton Rouge they always show us a great time in between arguing about the bands lol.

This is why JSU should drop the dome stadium conversation and start putting together plans for a 35k open-air stadium, with the ability to increase it to 50k plus. Memorial is okay for large crowds, but it is not on JSU campus. Plus, the price tag for an open-air stadium is way less than a dome stadium that can't be expanded.

The whole City of Baton Rouge should be hard to get around, since LSU officially has its first home game with Auburn tomorrow. I just hope the traffic on SU's campus is not from those jokers whole like to ride around in their toy cars annoying the heck out of people. It shouldn't be like that tomorrow, since they have to pay to get on campus.

we don't care about Lsu and no one else unless it's about JSU or SU right now !!!!! And the SU campus is packed because of people tailgating and the battle of the bands. Lsu will enjoy there's and we will enjoy ours !!!! Let the good times roll at the battle of the big cats 2015 edition !!!

I was just saying, it might be hard to get around Baton Rouge period. There's probably over 200k football fans in Baton Rouge for this weekend games.

I love Acme. I hit it up every time I'm in Destin,Fl or Baton Rouge.
 
I like Chimes and Sammy's Grill when in BR. I am a seafood chick. Chimes-crawfish etoufee and Sammy's Shrimp soup to die for.

Yeap white flight strikes again. Those folks are trying to move everything to South Baton Rouge, including the Zoo. Pretty soon they are going to run out of places to hide. lol
 
Can Someone help me find a fish Place in Baton Rouge like valley fish house in Jackson,ms..... I know that's what I'll have Tatse for after the game .

Dnt let the SU vs Jsu game mess with your mind. Why should SU build a bigger stadium only for the JSU and homecoming game. Once you sellout your own stadium with other schools versus just for the two mention above then your stadium is just fine !!
